Ahsoka Official Ahsoka Series Discussion (Spoilers Allowed)

Let me attempt to explain. In simple terms, these things are all tied together.

Mandalorian Season 1 was great. It was a fresh take on the universe, all new characters, new story - despite some loose ties within Din's backstory it was completely self contained and insulated from other plots in the universe. Well, until the post show Darksaber scene it was.

That quickly raised alarm bells in my mind because I don't like the way Dave Filoni tells stories - but at the same time I really enjoyed The Mandalorian. So I'm invested but leery. Now season 2 arrives and it seems that, for lack of a better way to explain it, Vince McMahon has suddenly replaced HHH as the creative lead on the project.

Why care about an Ahsoka show if you don't like Ahsoka? Because I still care about Din and Grogu. But you will say "its not their show", but it will not be their show the way Boba Fett's show wasn't their show. Its all connected.

Just today I read the Disney+ series are all being wrapped and concluded in a feature film directed by, you guessed it, Dave Filoni. So again, everything is going to be connected. It doesn't need to be, but is.

 

That's good to hear, but for some reason, no one in the media seems to be discussing the orange sabers at all.

But this is pretty interesting since it seems to suggest these darksiders are finally something different than Sith!

This makes sense since they are apparently allied with Nightsisters.

 

I am very excited! I mentioned the Mando Orange Lightsaber toys was foreshadowing.

 

The Ahsoka trailer is outstanding. I can not wait (luckily we don't have to wait long).

Now, if the Filoni movie goes ahead, and like they say, ties all these TV shows together in "one epic showdown" we will se Mando, Grogu, Peli, Greef, Bo Katan, Boba Fett, Fennec, Ahsoka, Thrawn, Moff Gideon, Sabine, Hera Chopper, Zeb, Ezra ..... to name a few, all in one movie, on the big screen! Sheesh!

 

I look at Baylan in one of those shots and his armor, definitely gave me early TCW Anakin vibes.

Of the primary and secondary colors, all of them were represented except orange until now. Something as stupid as seeing a canon orange saber shouldn’t be something that makes me happy at my age, but it does.

It seems like the projects that Dave Filoni currently has his hands in are all leaning into cloning technology. That has not paid off yet.

They cloned the zillo beast, the Imperial science dude from Mandalorian wants to continue his genetic research, in Bad Batch cloning is a big part of the Empire’s plans, in Mandalorian, there is (maybe) a rejected proto Snoke. And it’s easy to assume that Palpatine and Snoke are the payoff. But I kind of doubt it. Just because Dave seems to be doing his own self contained thing that is going to now culminate into a movie about the Remnant, not the First Order, as I had thought.

I know in YouTube comments people were initially saying Baylan must be Joruus. Which I don’t believe to be the case. But I am getting those Anakin vibes.

I’ve watched this trailer at least 20 times today. We are so fortunate that Lucas picked Filoni and that he’s been here to help guide Star Wars from Clone Wars on.

 

That Ahsoka trailer looks mind-blowingly amazing.

What I am wondering is that with the appearance of these seemingly Sith people and given this side focus on cloning, I wonder, as a precursor to Snoke and Palpatine, if the Imperial Remnants are harvesting old Sith Lord DNA and producing Clones of people like Jorus, Zannath, etc under Thrawn's close watch. Or weaponing harvested Force DNA from beings such as Grogu.

Because Thrawn being a simple "baddy" doesn't quite fit the brief for him. But if he is using this program to determine its success in creating Force- wielding beings to help fight the threat in his Chiss Galaxy, that's Thrawn through and through.

And he tests this program against Ahsoka, the Mandalorians, etc.

Correct. And to my eyes anyway it even looked like he had bluish hair still. Though that was probably more the hologram hue.

 

Ah, so they're merging Heir to the Empire with the Disney EU.

Star Wars...from a Certain Point Of View.....just like the stories from the old wild west of the USA.

Which one is the correct version (EU Legends or now) depends on the viewer.

Just use characters with the same names, similar names, names that blend together to distort a viewpoint (ie. Ben Skywalker or Ben Solo, Jacen Solo or Jacen Syndulla), similar events, etc, etc. Some places, characters, events share similarities in the respective view points, but the narrator of those viewpoints might not have got the correct version of events.....or may even have embellished events.

Basically it's how you get both versions to be correct.

Eman Esfandi. The trades broke the news awhile back. Odds are he will look radically different whenever he appears in the flesh in Mando or Ahsoka, as it is several years later.

I mean they did cast an an academy award nominated actress for Older Omega so yea I don’t know if you were joking, but I could very well see it.
