Those new Mon Cal(?) cruisers are probably commanded by Hera, and one of them's boarded by the dark Jedi. They look totally different from the Geist and are obviously not MC80s. My guess is MC90.

 

Hmm I wonder if they’ll do anything with Jacen Syndulla in this show.

 

Interesting that Shin means “faith, belief, trust.”

From memory, whether it's the same one or not, Hera was the commander on a big New Republic cruiser during the Alphabet Squadron books. I'm pretty sure it was in those books.

If this is the case, the image and subsequent narrative ties in nicely to the Alphabet Squadron series.

 

Yep, the Lodestar. But that was an old Acclamator-class, so these Mon Cals are probably what she got after the Lodestar was retired.

However, Victory's Price does reference an unknown class of NR heavy cruisers that includes the Hunting Hound, Brightsaber and Serenade. Maybe these are from that same class? They definitely seem at least heavy cruiser sized.

 

That would be a very nice continuation of the main narrative and Hera's character arc.

And would be really nice progression in the limited number of warships the NR would have.

 

I've watched this fantastic trailer a few times already and to assimilate the amount of information and I have some observations. The first scene shows that Ahsoka is looking for an entrance to a possibly Jedi temple and mayby to WBW, coming out of the underground, encounters droids that resemble the same ones from episode 13 -The Jedi- where we see Ahsoka for the first time and I bet they were sent by Magistrate Morgan Elsbeth. Another interesting fact is the new enemies and i think they are not Sith but some other group that was waiting for an opportunity to reveal themselves and make an alliance with Thrawn for their benefit and that's why we see an orange lightsaber and not a red one. Baylon reminds me of a strong medieval armored knight and Shin(new Mara Jade?) is supposed to be his Padawan.
The next scene with Sabin looks like the last episode of Rebels with some notable differences like that Sabin has long hair instead of short, and Ahsoka is not Ahsoka White, at least for now and I don't think Filoni gave up on this idea, sending sketches and drawings of Ahsoka White from time to time for years. This is a big mystery to me and maybe this is happening as some alternate vision of Ahsoka in WBW? Time will tell. Another interesting scene is where Aksoka fights Baylon. It seems to me that either it's in WBW, , or it's in some temple that Baylon is exploring and Ahsoka came to stop him from trying to get inside WBW.
Overall it's fun to see completely new stories in SW and I feel like this show will become the #1 show in SW and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for this show.
Ahsoka is my last hope for SW

If the “Dark Jedi” in this show are taking any inspiration from Heir to the Empire then there’s a decent chance Jacen could become a target for them, as Jacen Solo was.

I would have used Talon in place of these 2 new Dark Jedi. Hints that there's more than the Imperial Remnant out there The One Sith is also lurking waiting on the winner of this new battle.
