Ahsoka Star Wars: Ahsoka - Season 1 Discussion Thread

The 2 episodes were actually ok, better than expected -i'm not really a fan of the rebels cartoons- there's too much jedi and apprentices for my liking but i guess i have to let it go by now...

I have a question, can anybody tell me what's that map to Thrawn? Wasnt he supposed to be lost or something? How do they know?

The map to Luke was logical in TFA, everybody was looking for the 1st jedi temple and they knew Luke went there. But what about Thrawn?

 

Hey I would do it for you. The worst show to date is Ewoks.

 

We can go about this round and round like this for hours. It’s all subjective. I am sure people out there do genuinely feel like Ahsoka is the worst show just as I can feel like Ewoks is.

 

Well but now I am intrigued as to which show TCF thinks is worse than Ewoks (!)

 

And no @TCF-1138 the holiday special doesn’t count as a show.

 

The Ewoks films are not that bad. I watched one for the first time last year with my niece. They were pretty much par for the course for a TV fantasy films of that time. And they were a lot more violent than I expected. lol

 

Fair enough.

 

You know, I thought we were only discussing live action, but then again.... I just didn't process the fact that Ewoks would also be excluded from the convo then.

And yes, you are absolutely right. Well to me, Resistance is unwatchable. The only SW show I have not finished (and probably won't ever).

 

I gave up in early season 2 when I watched it first. The second half of the second season is actually good. IMO.

 

I made it all the way through both seasons...I figured I was into season 2 so should at least go all the way. But Resistance was such a wasted opportunity.

 

The problem with Resistance was how little any of it actually mattered in the end. You can tell how limited they were because the ST was still being made. They should have waited until it was over.

 

I didn’t think that was the problem with it. The things happening actually mattered to the characters in the story, and that was enough for me.

The problem was that the Resistance hired a total klutz to be a spy. That’s at the heart of the show’s failure to launch.

That said, I find it to be underrated. It’s better than most give it credit for, IMO. Not great, but not bad either. And certainly not the dumpster fire some claim it was.

 

But that's the fallacy. Ahsoka is only two episodes old and I cannot take anyone suggesting it as the "worst show" seriously considering barely been established.

 

Yea that’s true. My point still stands even if I think by the end it’s the best show ever someone’s still just as valid for thinking it’s the worst. To say it’s the worst now is basically bait. You can say it’s the worst premier that’s valid. But to color the whole show… no I agree Watto is likely just being overly dramatic and contrarian.

 

The hypocrisy of some fans.

Andor:
Man eats cereal for 10 mins and talks to his mom about his dead end job
“This is fantastic”

Ahsoka:
Character talks to other character after 3rd lightsaber battle that episode
“This is the most boring show I have ever seen”

 

Although I agree Andor is to date the best Star Wars LA show (that's had a full season), that just had me ROTFLMAO!

 

Forums are excellent in exposing unexpected points of view. I thought everyone hated the PT until I started reading here. Reading different opinions with decent examples and explanations often causes me to reexamine my thoughts. What's good is in the eye of viewer. So let the haters come and be respectful, even if they are wrong.

 

Its not though. people have different tastes. Not everyone finds the same things exciting or boring.

I really like both shows though.

 

Come on. That’s not fair. Most people who are complaining about pacing wouldn’t like Andor and you know it.

I think the pacing is good. Could it be better yes. Is it good. Yes. This is outrage for no reason. At least the hypocrisy part.
