When Jacen Sendula began with “Mom… I’ve got”

it feels like he’s about to finish with “got to go to the bathroom.” As a dad, any time my kids look at me like he did Hera it’s usually what they’re about to tell me. Especially in a public place when we are a ways away from a bathroom.

Even within the context of the scene and all the spinning that’s what I thought he was about to say at first.

I will be honest. It felt strange Hera bringing Jacen into a dangerous situation.

 

I thought it was a forgone conclusion that everything going in this series takes place after the events of the latest season of both Mando and TBOBF.

 

I thought I heard (and I could be wrong) that it was concurrent w/Mando season 3.

 

Well, Qui-Gon did bring little kid Anakin into a warzone on Naboo in TPM so at least there's a precedent for it.

Ahsoka literally falls in the episode.

So yeah, I think the episode title is supposed to refer to Baylan, Anakin, and Ahsoka.

 

As I noted in my initial review of the episode, it’s tradition! Bring Your Kid to Work On the Most Dangerous Day.

Feels weird to be "liking" all these child endangerment posts. For the record, I feel like I should clarify that I'm "liking" the good points of recollection they make on the broader subject, not the examples themselves!

 

Well Anakin was Qui Gons responsibility. I assume the Jedi were not willing to baby sit.

 

Not sure that was meant to be seen as a virtue.

Come to think of it, Ahsoka, Sabine and Ezra were all child soldiers.

Still don’t fully understand why Filoni will use the WBW unless it’s for something more purposeful than just nostalgia but at the same time I can’t imagine how he will explain her traveling to other worlds or legitimately back in time without some serious exposition of the WBW for causal audiences. Every casual I’ve spoken to just thinks she’s in a coma or death dream and hallucinating and that Anakin will just tell her to “wake up and fight” and that she will swim to the surface and that will be that.

A boy can dream...

 

Ahsoka and Luke (and Leia) meeting for the first time is a story I really want to see. I imagine that sometime after Jakku Luke, Leia and Artoo are talking about something like Luke's search for any info on the Jedi when in walks Ahsoka. At first she greets Artoo before introducing herself to Luke and Leia. The story then has Luke and Ahsoka go to Vader's castle on Mustafar for reasons. During their adventure Ahsoka tells Luke about his parents.

 

While I like the concept, I'm confused about the time and place setting. Why would everyone be at Jakku at this time? It wouldn't take place shortly after the events of ROTJ?

 

Not at Jakku...sometime after the Battle of Jakku. Most likely on Coruscant.
