No worries! Nothing a little Jedi training can’t take care of. ;)

  2. In the Lucas Version of the Sequels there would be no New Empire or Imperial Remnants so no First Order the Stormtroopers lived on their own Small Planets but they no longer represented a Threat the Villains were an Old Darth Maul and his Apprentice Darth Talon along with Lucas Version of the Crimson Dawn Darth Talon seduces Han Solo and Leia Son to the Dark Side Luke Skywalker was Exiled he wanted to Restore the Jedi Order and trains a Girl i prefer Lucas Version of the Sequels over the Disney ST Lucas Sequels feels like a True Sequel of TCW Show even if the Story is a little flawed but it feels different and Original but i kinda enjoy the Disney ST Movies too because of how Bizarre these Movies are and they are like an Adaptation of Dark Empire but i would have preferred much better if we had gotten Lucas Sequels instead

The original characters would have all been given respectful send offs and Rey would have had a proper character arc. No way George would have missed the opportunity to get the gang together again for one short scene in episode 7. Rey would have been much more well received in George’s hands in my opinion.

Luke is likely never deconstructed like he was, and all the OT fans would not be so ticked off. No way that Lucas would have treated Luke the way Rian Johnson did.

Well there would be no Rey in Lucas's version. Qi'ra maybe.

And Lucas probably would have treated Luke in ways that on the surface would cause as much hullabaloo as Rian Johnson’s

Well fans would have turned against Lucas just for adding PT political elements to the OT characters. With no hindsight of the Disney trilogy it probably would be just as hated. No questions just we don't recognise this and so we hate it. Lucas still ruining childhoods.

Some people act that way. But I don’t believe the Lucas ST would be hated to as big a degree as the Disney ST has reached. Because what Disney didn’t realize in 2014 was that the youth audience for the ST included many fans of the PT. Which was already beginning the resurgence of popularity it reached at the end of the decade. If the ST didn’t belittle the PT the fan base would be less likely to split three ways

So what? Would it be actually creative and telling an actual story?

Whats the point if it just becomes the worst thing ever because fans say so?

Fans who hate things just because they’re unfamiliar or new are a small minority.

If the sequel trilogy was more competent it would have more fans

They certainly ain't small. Alot of them are from the first generation of fans. the ones that kept the internet busy with berating the PT for being bad. unless they all died off or vanished, then they were gonna go into episode 7 expecting a sequel to the OT in the style of the OT. But Lucas was way above that thinking by the 90s. So he probably would have had Leia in senate meetings ect ect, and people would have hated it just because.

I think we NEEDED to get episode 7 the way we did just to scratch that itch for many people and then get it out of the way.

I don’t think we needed that. Because I’m addition to the OT purists (which is not purely generational, there are old fans who love the PT and young fans who only like the OT). There was the audience who watched and enjoyed the prequels and firmly assimilated the concepts established therein into their idea of the universe. That’s why it wouldn’t be as much of a shock to see for example Leia as chancellor in the senate then if the sequels immediately followed the OT. (I’m not sure it would be that shocking in 1999 either, we knew about the republic and the senate from the OT.)

the reason Disney decided to change George’s pitch to be more like the OT was they focused on the louder negative receptions like you do, not realizing that tastes would change and the sequel trilogy would usher in a reaction of its own against derivative nostalgic media

The Force Awakens method can only pay short term dividends because you’ve now set the sequel trilogy on an awkward footing where it loses its own meaning (though I think Johnson’s attempt to struggle with that is at the very least interesting it seems to have publically failed to help). Good reviews initially, But In the end the OT fans will stick to the original rather than the copy

Leia as Chancellor would have been *awesome* and one of Lucas’ biggest mistakes with Padme was cutting the Seeds of the Rebellion scenes in ROTS.

  14. The idea of a Female Protagonist and the concept of Qi'ra was the idea of JJ Abrams and Kathleen Kennedy yes there was a Girl Character in Lucas ST but she was not Qi'ra the Character of Qi'ra was inspired by that Girl Character of Lucas ST Concepts and that Character seemed more like a Secondary Character in Lucas ST and she would be Luke Padawan and Luke would train her and it seems that she was going to be Younger than Rey since one of the reasons why Lucas ST was discarded is that there were many Young Characters and Disney was afraid of having another the Phantom Menace

The problem is that episode 8 and 9 followed in the footsteps of episode 7, thus creating a truly terrible ending to the saga.

If you're saying that a certain section of the fandom/commentariat had to experience Star Wars 'without' Lucas before they could fully/better appreciate his version of Star Wars (or a version heavily influenced by Lucas), then I would agree. The problem with that experiment though (the ST) is it was a scorched Earth policy (even if unintended), as it completely burned up Luke, Leia and Han... or more specifically Hamill, Fisher and Ford.

Leia as Chancellor would be fine. Leia as the Chosen One, hell no. I know that's from draft material that Lucas made up a long time ago, while he was still making the PT movies, but stuff like that, and the midi-chlorian world idea, and Maul coming back AGAIN, along with such brilliant ideas like Ahsoka, Mortis, etc... yeah, I'm not convinced a Lucas ST wouldn't be bad in its own way.

My opinion: there shouldn't be a sequel trilogy after RotJ.

  18. Honestly i think Lucas ST would have been weird too i think they should have adapted the New Jedi Order Novels for the Sequel Trilogy with Mara Jade, Luke Jedi Order, the Solo Twins Kids and the Yuuzhan Vong the Vongs as Villains would not have contradicted the Prophecy of the Chosen One because they are not Jedi or Sith or the Empire and it would have been something more Original

As someone who hated the Chosen One concept from its outset, can only watch Mortis while drunk because that’s the only way it makes sense, thinks Maul coming back was ridiculous and only a ploy to sell more merch, and reacted with ‘WTF?’ To the idea of a microbial world, I agree with you.

Yep, this is it right here. For me, Disney’s attitude towards my generation of Star Wars fans (PT gen) ruined the whole thing from the start. They didn’t even acknowledge we existed until they brought The Clone Wars back in 2020. The films being disjointed and spitting on the original six films was just the icing on the cake.

I know this Lucas knew how to create character’s that kids wanted action figures of, so at least there would have been a heck of a lot more merch / toys sold.

Anyone want a Rey action figure? The outlet stores around me have plenty if anyone is looking for one.

There's no coming back again. As far as I've seen, Maul would've never died and returned. He just would've stuck around post TCW.

Only thing I think doesn't naturally slot in is world angle. Midichlorians existing in general though change nothing really.
I don't see yuuzhan vong having much to a drive within the overall Star Wars story.

Well Rey fits in with the jedi figures. So you would sell Rey with a saber. So i think Rey is fine. Finn and Poe are a little too regular in a world where kids mostly buy superheroes. and the jedi are basically superheroes. And mandos are basically iron man.

  25. The New Shows are changing that with talking about New Galaxies a Threat from the Unknown Regions fits well with Stas Wars
