Ahsoka What the **** is Baylan searching for?

I was going to title this thread the mortis gods. But I think this is funnier. Obviously this mystery isn’t over yet so let’s discuss it.

I think Baylan will become the new version of the son, and Anakin is already the new version of the father, and eventually, Ahsoka will become the new daughter (she kinda already is).

The Son himself.

Don't know what he is looking for, but some ancient dark side entity, like Abeloth isn't it.

Here's my theory. What is the Father, keeper of the balance, pointing at? He's pointing at an origin point of the Force. What color was the energy? Red.

This means that the Force is out of balance. Why? The daughter is dead. That's why they only show us the Father and Son.

So Baylan is going to attempt to balance the Force.

However, he will obviously fail in this, either be destroyed or possessed by the Son.

Ultimately what I see this leading to is Ahsoka becoming the Daughter, at some point.

 

Morai symbolizes the daughter. I've seen fan theories Ahsoka already became the daughter when she was resurrected. I think Baylan is looking at a temple that has something to do with Mortis. He's probably going to either fail or sell his soul to become possessed by the Son. But he may simply unleash something. Either he will become the antagonist or create one. Ahsoka and Sabine are where they need to be to take it on.

 

I don’t really want the Mortis gods to come back in the flesh.

I think they’re really cool in an allegorical way, like they are just visual representations of an abstract idea. There are statues of them on Peridea, but the daughter is collapsed because something awful is happening on this planet.

I think they should aim a little higher than that and do a couple of things:

1) Introduce a cool new Uber dark side character
2) Adapt the “microbial world of the force” thing that George Lucas wanted to do with the sequels. Or maybe now that’s too similar to Ant Man Quantumania.

 

I thought the Mortis people had a ship the shape of an octahedron.

What Baylan was looking at seemed a bit pyramid-y.

So, could there be one half of the Mortis ship on Perudea and another on Exegol?

Or is it just a mountain?

 

All three Force-wielders in Mortis died, not just the daughter. And did the Great Mothers ever say there was a dark presence in the planet? I thought we only heard Baylan say they may have been fleeing a power greater than theirs.

Could Peridea be Mortis itself? The structure encountered by the Jedi during the Clone Wars could have projected their consciousness to the planet itself. Though I do recall Ahsoka saying Mortis was planetoid sized. I mainly ask this because of how much the beacon Baylan saw reminded me of the Father’s temple. But there’s no reason there couldn’t just be another temple in Peridea, and we don’t get a good look at it after all.

 

Whatever that blinking light was in the distance.

 

I'd love it if Baylan didn't really know. Let him be drawn by something that he can sense, that he can feel, and let his vague answers throughout the season be the extent of what he can describe to others.

Alas, this would only really work if we still had Ray Stevenson to perform the revelatory moment of discovery for Season 2.

His was already a tragic loss, but it stings even more now, given what we know.

I kind of want to see Baylan meet Ghost Anakin, perhaps to use his power in some way, and Anakin being like "wth is wrong with you".

I think that Baylan is after the Mortis Force Gods.

Either:

1. He's the father, and Shin is the daughter (who he turned his back on, hence the destroyed statue) and he's now looking for the Son, a new apprentice, who will bring about chaos and destruction.
   
   
2. He's looking for the literal Father and the Son, and looking for their power in some way. Or to release their power in order to bring about his new beginning.
   
   
3. Anakin is the Father. Baylan is the Son. And Ahsoka is the Daughter. I'm not sure how that plays out or what that means. Are they figurative or literal Force Gods? Lol.

 

I feel like the Son would have to have some big connection to either Anakin or Vader and not just be a random Jedi.

I like the idea of Starkiller being the Son because it kinda works that Anakins apprentice and Vaders apprentice being the children. But since Starkiller doesn't exist, that can't really happen.

Luke can't be the Son if you go by the idea of what the son is, and Ben Solo probably can't because i don't think he is shown to be that character by the end of his life.

Unless they decide to change up the whole idea in general and just have light siders as the children.

And while i have always argued that i did not think Filoni would Kill off Ahsoka... im starting to wonder whether he might be setting something up to potentially do so and make her take the place of the sister.

 

He searching for an end to the cycle and a reimagined version of the Father could help. A way to in a way start over. A clean slate

 

Filoni will never kill off Ahsoka, but I'm starting to think he may give her a Dave Bowman style uplift.
