Amph Disney's GARGOYLES Discussion (Cartoon, Comics, and More)

Did you order it? Do you own the other figures in this line? What do you think of them?

 

The only figure that I own is Demona. I do have Angela on pre-order; supposed to come sometime soon.

 

Please let me know how the figure is. I don’t have the money to collect these. But in the 90s I had one Gargoyles toy. I find their design fascinating. And couldn’t pass it up even knowing next to nothing about the series at the time.

New Ultimate Armored Xanatos revealed by NECA

 

All great. But where is Owen? I expect he's the one that will come with Hudson's folded wings?

 

No Owen announced yet; just Xanatos and Elisa for now. I think the next human character will be Macbeth as he was teased October 2022.

From the SDCC pictures, they showed two things that haven' t been formally announced - Broadway in his trench coat from "The Silver Falcon" as well as a Goliath/Demona two pack from "Vows".

I'd definitely like to see those; especially the Vows figures. I wonder if there are special accessories (I don't need an extra Demona).

Broadway looks cool with the "Silver Falcon" trench coat.


The Goliath/Demona "Vows" two-pack would be nice for those who don't have the figures. I wonder if they include their alternate wings, or just the folded ones. I still need to get her folded wings.

 

Folded wings notes for those curious (myself included )

• Bronx has Goliath's folded wings.

Not yet released:

• Xanatos will have Demona's folded wings.
• Elisa will have Brooklyn's folded wings.
• Angela & Lex & Armored Xanatos will have no accessories for anyone else.

It is cool that the "Vow" two pack will have the Phoenix Gate in whole and in pieces. I always found it funny that Demona could split a magical artifict in half and then when put back together it "healed" itself.

Demona has the Grimorum Arcanorum.
Xanatos has the Eye of Odin.
Demona & Goliath will have the Phoenix Gate.

Somewhere, I hope the Archmage is being created.

 

I'm still waiting on my Angela pre-order from BBTS. I blame myself for ordering from them; you'd have thought I'd learn my lesson from last time. I know many people are already getting her from other sources, including Best Buy.

I still want Demona's folded wings. I just hope I might be able to resell the Xanatos figure minus them (obviously at a lower cost).

 

I finally got Angela delivered from BBTS today.



It's a really nice figure, and I especially like the baby and egg accessories; but I was having a difficult time getting her to stand up on her own with the wings upright. The wings are much more stiffer against her back then Demona's, which helps posing. I want to get the closed wings for Demona so I could pose her with the egg and baby.

 

Why is no one talking about the planned film?

 

For now it's only hearsay/rumors. Greg Weisman, the writer of the animated series, has already suggested it's false. I'll only jump on the hype when it's been actually confirmed by those behind the series.

 

This trailer of the Remastered video game just dropped today. It looks pretty neat; but tbh, I wouldn't spend a dime more than $20 for it. Sorry, I'm not going to consider buying a twenty-something year old game with some updated (but still cartoonish) graphics at full retail.

 

I'm happy it's coming out soon - October 19th - but with Spider-man 2 and Super Mario Bros Wonder coming out October 20th, I'm afraid it's going to be a little overshadowed. I will probably get it eventually.

One day, this thread will have news of a live-action remake...

 

There was a rumor about one a couple of months ago, but it was never made official by Disney or anyone else at the time.

 

So just this past weekend I was able to pick up Elisa at a Target store, and today my pre-ordered Xanatos came. What I decided to do was to keep Demona's folded wings, and repackage Brooklyn's folded wings into the box with Xanatos; and I'm selling that for auction on eBay now.

I'm glad they have all three of those. Angela is a great character.

 

I'm trying to find a better stand for the figures. The ones that I have, by Neca mind you, don't fully support the figures; especially the ones with extended wings.

I was hoping Coldstone's wings would fold, since I barely have the room on the shelf at this point lol. But doesn't look like it.
