There’s a million reasons one could justify a character going to Coruscant.

 

The Grand Inqusitor says he found about more lightsabers techniques through the Jedi archives, so we know Jedi knowledge was in use even though only by Inqusitors and Darth Vader. Holocron vault probably still in use by other means in Imperial era. But i wonder what about other stuff like the kyber vault we learn about in High Republic.

Corucant yess and done now few times but to see the Jedi temple during New Republic era and in this New Jedi Order era. Will it ever occupied again in future stories or become a Museum of Jedi History?

 

The entire planet is one big city.

 

maybe the max rebo band is playing on coruscant, that would be a reason to go there

 

Max Rebo? Oh, please. They don't hold a candle to Figrin Dan and the Modal Nodes.

 

I would rather just stay home and spin some Luleo Primoc records.

I do hope the music scene at Coruscant is a bit more interesting and vibrant than having to watch Max Rebo Band playing live. The city and its cultural impact is generally underdeveloped in Star Wars. And here is a big chance to get Taylor Swift into a Star Wars film. Or not….

I didn't know she was making a movie about young Palpatine. Cool!

 

A much better choice than Taylor Swift would be Mickey Thomas of the band with a fitting name.

Was scrolling down this page with a couple of good jokes in mind, then hit the above and now there's no heckin' way I'm following that.

 

Now that I've posted, you don't have to follow that, now you can just follow me. And that's pretty darned easy, right?

 

Would not at all be surprised if the new Jedi order followed somewhat closely with the New Jedi Order series but replacing the OT3 kids with newbies and the Yuuzhan Vong with Dathomirians who repopulate (so to speak) after events from the Filoni movie(s).

Bunches of Mauls and Nightsisters is the money.

 

Pretty much my entire existence on this forum these days consists of wondering what Sarge has to say.

And, of course, asking Chiz about happenings in August.

 

It would not surprise me if they've already got the cast for this movie figured out already, but are keeping it under wraps. I think we will get some news this month . . .

 

I think a movie Full of connections and nostalgia with a good story. Its been years now since last movie and Bob Iger's last comments.

 

Likely not this month with holidays and all. But starting in the new year, I really hope we start seeing news and even a tentative schedule of releases for the next few movies.

 

I was thinking (sorry for a double post but it has been 3 hours),

People assumed that the Empire wouldn't simply and completely dissolve just because the second Death Star was destroyed, Palatine, and Vader died. Hence, the FO grew from its ashes through a power vacuum.

So, why would we assume that the First Order would dissolve after the battle of Exegol. Sure, Palp's fleet may have been destroyed, but what of the rest of the First Order? Perhaps there's something to that and they want to come to more completion (by having Finn PROPERLY create a stormtrooper revolt?).

 

I think its wise of them to stay away from First Order. This film will need to bring on its own worldbuilding and conflict issues, as it is meant to build a story for a long term release plan. On paper, its not a new trilogy, but we all know there will be sequels, if successfull. I am sure they will make references to both Empire and FO in the movie, but hopefully, they have a fresh take on the state of the galaxy. The Finn stormtrooper revolt idea, that we never got in the ST, is a good idea, but it can be used for a new conflict as well. Without Finn. ( and stormtroopers).

 

Or with Finn and without stormtroopers.

I imagine we will see a bunch of ideas that had been discarded. But, in my mind, I envision that the last movie in the "New Jedi Order" series/trilogy will be the LAST of this new batch of movies. It almost has to be. It should be a final battle royale between the good and the evil that even involves ghosts of all our favorite Jedi (perhaps going against spirit demons of the Nightsisters).

 

I think they need to get away from the ‘great battle between good and evil.’ We already saw that in the Saga. The Sith lost. Twice.

The greatest climaxes of the Saga are between a hero and a villain they have a unique relationship with. It’s cliche but it’s always about the character drama. I’d be fine if there New Jedi Order films just ended with the main protagonist beating a villain we’re interested in and with whom they have an interesting history. It doesn’t even need to be combined with a massive space battle, etc.

 

But there will be a space battle no Star Wars movie havent had one.
