TV Discussion Asajj Ventress [2024 Spoilers]

I mean they liked all the original characters from the micro series. Originally Bane was supposed to be Durge, but they realized it would be impossible to animate that convincingly in 3D with the tech they had.

Rex was originally supposed to be Alpha 17 but George vetoed that for one reason only he thought to many people had names that start with A with Anakin, Ahsoka and artoo

 

I hated it. Really don't get the appeal of seeing these video game-like matchups. Ah well. To each their own, I guess. But I reserve the right to be annoying about it.

Point is only Assajj Ventress comes from animated show to another. And she returns from death like Maul. The others did not.

 

Ventress and Maul interacting more would be very interesting IMO since they both share almost the same backstory: Ripped from their homes, became a sith apprentice, betrayed and left for dead by their masters, failed revenge attempts etc etc.

They are some of the last children of Dathomir (In this era)

 

Merrin and Malicos are just chilling doing who knows what for like the next 3 years.

 

Of course the irony is that it was Ventress' own Mother Talzin who ripped Maul from his home. It's not as if they'd immediately be kindred spirits.

 

Ventress vs Jedi apprentice Leia and its Ventress that puts the idea into Leia's head about her son's downfall and death. It festers in Leia's mind and leads to dreams and visions until she quits being a Jedi.

 

You know what i just realized. With Assajj Ventress age and her lore. They could do a prequel Story with her as Jedi padawan under Ky Narec. He trained her for over 2 decades as a Jedi from small infant to a young women. And then she embraces the dark side for revenge before meeting Count Dooku.

 

Well that's something that could be adapted in a TOTJ short, similar to Ahsoka's upbringing. Come to think of it, we haven't yet gotten any on screen adaptation of when she actually meets Plo for the first time.

 

Good point, see how Assajj Ventress left the jedi way. Little Ahsoka in proluge of an episode.

 

I could see her appearing in Mandoverse, maybe the Ventress mention in Ahsoka Episode 7 wasn't just a easter egg but a setup for a future appearance (Much like the Purgill in Mando S3)

 

If she appears in Ahsoka season 2 i think it will be limited. And i think with Nightsisters returning to Dathomir, we see her on Dathomir maybe taking over the role of Mother Talzin. She be the witch mother Ventress. Thats Only place i see her now, dont think she still be Bounty hunter. She might be the last Nightsister from Dathomir still alive.

It essentially points at the obvious facts tying everything together, but it doesn't go far as to say that the character actually will be in Season 2 of Ahsoka.

Galaxy has been a small place since well decades ago

 

We're seeing the "key players" of the galactic conflict, so of course they're going to cross paths. Real life is like that too. Conferences for big government people, CEOs, celebrities, etc. mean those people in the real world cross paths all the time because they have connections to each other through associations and mutual contacts.

 

Yes If it was one farmer from some backward planet running into another that wouldn’t make sense. But a Jedi running into say Hondo basically the pirate of the era makes perfect sense. Or using an example given in the show. Jabba wanted his rancor Patisa so he had Bib Fortuna contact the local basically fixer to find them. Which just happened to be Cid.

IMO the one real example that I can think of that I don’t like. Is Ahsoka meeting Chewbacca. But other than that? I am pretty fine with it

Now that I think about it, maybe these are really characters used to combin various stories in a simple mythology

 

If they want to be taken seriously, they should try not using clickbait headlines that misleadingly suggest that this reunion is happening.
