That's so sad to hear. She was a great admin and seemed like a really kind and sweet person. RIP

Very sorry for your loss Obi. She was an invaluable member of this community and we will all feel her absence. This community is in my prayers.

That's very sad to hear. She was a strong presence here in the Celebration forum and throughout the boards. May she rest in peace.

Thank you for letting us know @Obi Anne.

Indeed, looks like there are quite a few guests who've been in Star Wars who are attending. The one that stuck out to me is Eman "Ezra Bridger" Esfandi.

Doubt it. 2027 makes the most sense to hold another one, given that it's the 50th. Of course, they could do both, but I don't think 2026 is a lock. I guess it depends on when the next film comes out.

Getting a little anxious and hopeful that they announce ticket sales next month. I will be going for VIP tickets so fingers crossed.

I'm guessing ticket announcements in May with a release in end of May or June.

And I have already told my husband that we need to save up enough to go to Anaheim in 2027, and that he needs to come with me then.

Also keep in mind the George Lucas Museum in Los Angeles will be open by then that you'll probably want to visit before or after Celebration. I'm sure quite a few Celebration attendees will try to work in a trip there as well.

I'm local to the area, so if you have questions about any details, feel free to ask.

This year’s D23 has a three day base ticket for $297 that includes a reserved seat for special arena events. Would you be willing to pay for this type of pass at Celebration if it meant avoiding the lottery for the big panels?

Email says tickets go on sale May 2nd at 7 EST.

Edit: oh, and if you bought VIP tickets in 2023 then you get a crack at VIP tickets a day early.

Ya that jumped out at me as well. That seems quite unfair IMO, I've never done it before and would like to try it

I would try, but I expect that they'd go quick like (perhaps quicker) than the VIP tickets.

I imagine this is potentially an incentive to keep people buying VIPs? If you don't then you might lose your chance forever! If they rope someone in it keeps them in the ecosystem.

Best case scenario is that someone just thought this would be a nice added bonus to those folks, but I think the result will be mostly a negative for everyone else.

That art goes hard. I am glad Japan gets another crack at celebration for the first time in 17 years.

After seeing the amount of posts on the Celebration Facebook page of people using multiple laptops and phones on multiple browsers trying to get into the queue, and still having to wait however long to get through, not to mention all the people posting how this will be their first Celebration, I have to assume the demand for Celebration 2027 is going to be absolutely insane.

I’m already kind of figuring if I get badges, great, if not, so be it. Even if the Lyte exchange is available.

I will just assume now that all badges will sell out the day they go on sale. Individual day badges for Tokyo are still available, but it is quite a commitment for a lot of folks along with a language barrier. The US Celebrations, as you may know, are much different.

With it being the 50th of A New Hope/10th of TLJ/50th of Star Wars in General and it likely being held in the USA the demand will be high.

It'll be interesting to see how the 50th compares to the LA 40th one at C4.

EDIT- Crap, that was the 30th, wasn't it?
