Andor Kleya Marki (Top Rebel Agent)

Appearing in Andor S1, Kleya is the concierge at Luthen Rael's Galactic Antiquities and Objects of Interest gallery (according to StarWars.com).

But we know her as a messenger, enforcer and commited spy working against the Empire.

This thread is for all things Kleya, in preparation for, and hopefully when she appears in, Andor S2.

What do you think about the theory going around that she must be Sndir’s long lost sister? I am not convinced but ready to be mistaken…

 

A great actor who puts in a great performance. I’d love to see a “Tales of…” animated short charting her background before Andor. She strikes me as a more serious version of Leia, which I assume is why they named her…Kleya.

I hope she will have good screen time in season 2… that’s a character I appreciate and a very good performance I agree!

And just to continue the discussion from a different thread, she seems an equal with Luthen (or the other way round) to me.

Both their back stories would be very interesting.

 

My guess is that she will ultimately kill Luthen to prevent the Empire from interrogating him.

 

Quite a stern lady. Seems committed to the cause. She’s basically the rebel version of Dedra. Hopefully they’ll get a scene together. An interrogation…a terse tension filled affair where neither combatant dares to be the one to blink first.

My search engine understood that this was a typo before I did. I always knew I was more dense than a computer, but now it's official.

Kleya... might be Kassa's sister. I'd say probably not, though.

Yeah in the flashback they seem quite similar in features if I recall well and Kleya does not resemble Cassian but who knows!

Just a slam dunk of a sit down and shut up line. And it sums up Kleya perfectly.

I have so many quotes from Andor around in my office…the most actual one seems to be Luthen’s “ oppression breeds rebellion!”… I’ll let you understand what that says about my workplace right now…

 

Another theory out there apparently is that she's one of Padme's former handmaidens. I think that's less likely though, because that would be a direct tie-in to the classic core family of SW, her literally being a handmaiden of Luke Skywalker's mom. And Andor thus far is all about being distanced from that sort of thing.

 

Yeah, these are all theories that seem to miss the point of this show.

 

Sabe does a bunch of stuff in the comics, including figuring out Vader is Anakin and infiltrating Crimson Dawn, so maybe we'll get a Tales of the Handmaidens show for the others haha

 

No harm in having discussion on it.

It isn't like anyone is making Youtube videos saying this is what the fans want.

I saw one review mention that Kleya's character is featured much more heavily in the second season.

I'm interested to see how much her character grows and how big a part she plays in the story. At times, she acted more like an equal to Luthen instead of a subordinate like her 'assistant' role at the antique shop made it appear to observers. Hoping for big things from her in the second season!

 

With a code name of say…Fulcrum?
