I know a few American middle-class nerds who went there, maxing out their credit cards, as she says in the video. I would rather stick my peepee in a meat grinder, but some people thought it'd be worth it. They are probably going to be paying that for a long time, so they insist it was magical.

Rich people don't go to a Disney park in Florida: they go to a private island near Madagascar where they can snort Cocaine 2 (a special kind of super cocaine only available to people with black cards) off the carcass of the cloned dodo bird that their underaged sex slaves were forced to hunt and kill.

 

4 hours, just to find out it was too expensive and therefore failed.

I watched at 2x speed as I usually do for YouTube, so it was 2 hours for me.

You should make your videos longer. Maybe that's the trick!

 

You don't have to watch the full 4 hours in one go, especially when most of these types of videos are broken into parts/chapters. I watched Parts 1-9 yesterday and will go through the rest this week.

 

This is such a great post. I keep laughing, no matter how often I read it. Somebody get Ramza a YouTube channel. I'd watch 4 hours of this

You can go to a renaissance fair and tepidly half-LARP for a weekend at a tiny fraction of the Star Wars hotel cost and still get the adrenaline rush of knowing you've been completely ripped off.

I believe that this a good summary of the problem.

What they were offering had no market. Rich people don't care about role-playing, and poor people cannot spend their monthly salary on two days of adventure park.

 

With the added bonus of not having to spend any time in Florida.

 

Why?

Given the price of entry to the parks + the food & merchandise available, it probably costs that just to go for one day.
Galaxy's Edge Savi's Workshop Lightsaber build costs $250 and the Droid Depot costs $120 for the basic model builds.

Maybe the real problem is that it all seems way too cheap?

 

I doubt it. Personally, I don't believe that there is any service or amenity they could have included to convince people to pay those 3300 dollars.
Statistically, the target demographic was just not going to have that amount to spend no matter what.

It's like taking a sample of people who eat in fast foods regularly and ask them to pay 200 dollars for a burger. They simply won't pay that price. It doesn't matter how tasty it is. It doesn't matter if you rebrand the fast food chain to make it look fancier. It's still a fast food burger, and most people are not interested in spending 200 dollars for it. Sure, someone might try out of curiosity, but it's not a successful business model overall.

 

Yeah it's way too expensive no matter how it looks or feels as an experience.
