Mini Series The Acolyte 1.04 - Discussion Thread (Spoilers Allowed)

I know I said I was gonna wait to binge, but I can’t resist! LFG!

 

Somehow, Palpatine is alive!

 

I thought it was Palpatine's clone impersonating Palpatine.

Again, do we really need to see Wookie hygiene and grooming. Yord half naked was enough.

 

What I did find a bit excessive was Yord steaming Kelnaccas fur obsessively with Kelnacca saying “Yord you need to stop that don’t you even try to use the straightening iron on me again!”

 

Many mysteries require answers.

 

Well, half season, things going fast.

An entire episode of Detective R2-D2? A surprise to be sure but a welcome one

 

Srsly, Disney? The witches all died because they were on fire and Osha dumped water on them? Puh-leeeease!

 

I didn't see the witches pot of brew but I can imagine Salacious B. Crumb in it.

Can't wait for tomorrow's fourth episode!

Spoiler: One answer I believe..

Is the Sith are involved in either helping create the twins or learned aboit this creation and want to steal them so they attacked and stole Mae while Osha was rescued by the Jedi. The Sith then told Mae the Jedi were to blame for the deaths and the burnt village

 

How did Snoke show up?

I could get behind that.

 

Strapped in, helmet and goggles on, ready to get my expectations subverted!

 

Honestly, the Rashomon imitation is a little annoying to me at this point. Yeah, it's a classic movie. Yeah, I love the idea of dramatic irony and people perceiving events differently from each other. But this has been done so often since the original movie, I find it a bit dull.

And especially since Rian Johnson already did it in SW.

Having said that, I hope the next episodes do the Rashomon well (it's like a well-known dance move at this point).

 

It's amazing how much fan service was in this episode. From R2-D2's unexpected rescue of Kalnecca from the fire to that Sith dance recital.

 

That episode was so Wizard.

It really went to show where most of the budget went into.

That pod racing scene with little Mae was so artistically done.

Man I really missed pod racing on screen, I hope someday Disney can give us a series dedicated to that sport.

 

You can always watch the Bad Batch episode, or Rebel's episode, or even TPM. While not pod racing, you can get the same feel in Resistance. SW loves a good race scene.

 

Best place to see podracing is the Episode 1 Pod Racer, old but still a great game to play.

 

This is where the fun begins

 

This new Jedi looks intriguing.
