Nothing has been confirmed yet (July 2024).

Season 1 has been divisive. More so than other SW series?

    Is a Season 2 likely?

What loose ends could be in it? What do you want in it?

I think some good groundwork was been laid out by Season 1.

My main asks are: Better CGI, realistic world, greater narrative and character coherence (even if the characters are conflicted), more time, better dialogue.

Main things to keep: The Jedi, the Sith, the political stuff from this point on. And Trade Federation hatwear.

We need flashbacks of Vernestra whipping Qimir in her dungeon.

The things you’ve already mentioned. Some more Republic politics now. Better dialogue, a more grounded feel. Actually used the budget for what it’s worth. More Sith stuff.
And keep up the work on portraying the Jedi on how it’s been so far. I love it!

Bazil is universally beloved. He will be a featured character. Prepare yourself for seeing him sitting on the Jedi High Council and then doing karate on Darth Plagueis.

I'm sure there will be a second season. We've been given a great introduction to the era, and the main part of the story is just coming.

I'm not a big "wishlist" kinda guy, but I just hope the creators get a chance to make Season 2 if they want to, or have the storylines / ideas to keep going. This was a ridiculously strong start for a 99% new chapter of Star Wars, and it'd be a shame if they didn't get to realise its potential.

Won't be the same without Sol, though. :( Maybe he could come back for some flashbacks? Or as one of the first Force Ghosts, perhaps?

    20 episodes.

    50 minutes run time.

Flashbacks where we see Sol trying to train Osha as her padawan would nice.

Yeah, this show really needs at least a second season to give it a proper chance to really get going. Hard to get an honest gauge of overall opinions on it.

I'm predicting the first ep of season two to be "Peace/Passion"

We flash back to 100 years before Brendok. A very young Qimir enters the Jedi Order temple and meets Rwoh for the first time.

To me it seems like season 1 was (or could be) like ANH to the OT, a great introduction with the meat of the story taking place in subsequent seasons.

The main question for the plot is what Qimir's goals are, as Osha's just kind of along for the ride under a level of duress.

In the short term, Qimir knows Venestra knows he's alive, so he'll probably want to tie up that loose end. But after that, what? Does Qimir aim to bring down/expose the Jedi Order to ensure their long-term freedom ("That freedom is a lie") and to exact justice/revenge, as he was wronged similarly to Osha? And/or does he aim to kill his old Sith master to ensure freedom on that front as well? How much of this will Osha slowly start to adopt into her own goals as well (being seduced by his worldview / arms) vs just being there reluctantly, waiting to get the upperhand on Qimir?

Given the increased Senate oversight, I imagine Venestra/Mae will be working off the books to track our Bonnie & Clyde Sith (also I hope Osha has a badass mask/outfit like Qimir)

Perhaps with more twin disguise shenanigans, Osha will be able to kill Venestra, who tells Osha what Sol was feeling during his death, and kind of calls Osha out for totally losing the plot at this point. (#JusticeForSol)

In the end I imagine Mae/Osha will reunite to overthrow their ultimate manipulator, Qimir, and go their own way, scot free.

....Until they too get their comeuppance when Plagiues gets his hands on them, using them for his experiments, killing/reviving them for years on end. Finally together forever.

Leslye Headland has said she wants to read lots of fan feedback before a potential Season 2. Hopefully whatever feedback she hears will have a positive effect on her vision for season 2.

The show could benefit from longer episodes, more episodes, or both; eight 30 minute episodes ain’t it.

Given that one of the subplots in the early part of the Plagueis novel is him hunting down darksiders that Darth Tenebrous was grooming to be Sith Apprentices, and Qimir said that The Master “collects people,” I wonder if Qimir is actually one such pupil of Tenebrous who has yet to earn a Darth name?

Perhaps the series finale (I love the idea of a series about the Sith having two seasons, “only two, there are…”) involves Vernestra successfully using Mae to find Qimir (and Osha), Plagueis offing everyone (he IS depicted as being a Jar’Kai specialist, after all), and doing so in a fashion that Yoda is unable to divine what happened, tying in to his rebuttal of Ki Adi-Mundi in TPM.

I don't have high hopes we're gonna get a second season unfortunately. I want one, I just don't think its in the cards.

    That said. Ideas for S2:

While most of the Jedi believe that the Sith are long gone, it could be interesting if there's a small group who believe otherwise. That it might be possible that they survived all this time. And they believe this because of an ancient prophecy referring to a powerful Jedi who will restore balance to the Force. These Jedi already believe that the scales have been tipped and that this person is coming. And that the reason that the Force is unbalanced is something to do with the Sith.

However, this group is largely ignored. There is no evidence of any such unbalancing, or any Sith.

Vernestra is investigating her former padawan Qimir.

The Senate is conducting their audit of the Jedi Order. Government officials scour the temple for evidence of centuries of malfeasance. Although they find nothing egregious, there are cases that were never brought before the Senate.

The Jedi find themselves in a bind as they can't fight this new oversight. Instead they promise a strict adherence to their code and to right the ship. At least for the publics sake. No more allowing older kids with troubled backgrounds to be padawans. No attachments becomes a driving doctrine. They don't want another Sol, or Brendok incident. No more cover ups. More transparency with the Senate. They even agree to allow the Senate to have more say in Jedi matters. This all leads to what we see in the PT between the Jedi and Senate.

Additionally, the Ravencourt personally begins a lengthly look at their history of the Order/Cult going back to the last full scale galactic war - the War with the Sith. He begins learning about these ancient rulers and dark siders, and their battles with the Jedi. Some of which was ... not made public.
