The Fourth Precent is a Visions Comic story about ancient gods battling in the cosmos of the primeval galaxy. But, what is the Fourth Precept? Comic and its story aside, a precept is per definition like a commandment. So any list of such, pick the 4th. Common are the Ten Commandments of the Bible, or in Buddhism, the 5 precepts. Since namewise the title is closer to buddhism, lets look at that. Now Star Wars has its own set of principles, commandments, precents or Codes: Jedi Code There is no emotion, there is peace. There is no ignorance, there is knowledge. There is no passion, there is serenity. There is no chaos, there is harmony. There is no death, there is the Force. Fourth line was: There is no Chaos, there is Harmony. but in Legends there also existed a 4 Precept version of the Jedi Code omitting this exact 4th precept! A newer Jedi Code omitted it while millennia back it was still in there, and maybe added again post Saga. Without it the fourth line became: There is no death, there is the Force (previously fifth!). Hence now, what is the Fourth Precept for Star Wars? Which line does the title of the comic refer to?
Maybe the Sith Code? Through Power, I gain Victory. Note that in canon The Fourth Precept exists in-universe in the form of a poem from the Rammahgon, describing the events we see in the Legends comic. We still don't know what exactly that fourth precept is, though.
Looking at the story again, I think you're right @ColeFardreamer. The chaos of creation gives way to some sense of harmony at the end, and the light/dark sides seem to join to make life. Or red blood cells. Close enough.
It's the fourth precept of the Lord Being of the Swirblies and his four See Seers. It's the last thing Wat Tambor saw as he was struck down and only the holiest of skakoan priests can parse its meaning.
Aren't those supposed to be Midichlorians, perhaps the story tells in an exaggerated way the currents of life that led to the evolution of that organism.
The story gets some more expansion on, in the online published 'Supernatural Encounters' storyline. Where Arhul Hextrophon brings it up as a work of art and imagery, possibly perverting deep-seated moral codes (back to the Dai Bendu and other cultures)
What's interesting is that, if you put the Epic Collection TPBs in chronological order, Fourth Precept is the literal final story in the Legends continuity. ...are we quite sure it's a creation myth?
The End is the Beginning! Timeloop, if old un-published Alien Exodus Lore is any hint. Even Supernatural Encounters ran with such ideas but different. Then again every end is a rebirth, eh? Those mysterious vanished species of the past being the future AND the past is fun. Like f.e. Kummumgah is where Sandpeople and Jawas originated from both and will merge into again when Tatooine is green and blue again? If Legends would have ended, had it continued, with Forceusers ascending the Mortis thrones or likewise ones and becoming Forcewielders/Ones/Ascended Celestials... it truly would be full circle.
