There's Mrs. Ikk, Wim's Ithorian neighbor lady.

A bit of trivia I just learned via IMDB.... Mrs. Ikk is played by Cary Gunnar Lee, a special effects technician and creature performer who has also worked on The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and other non-SW films and shows (including Tales from the Loop).

EDIT: I found a video interview with Cary Gunnar Lee (Mrs. Ikk), where he discusses costumes, creatures, and contraptions. Jump to around the 14 minute mark, if you want to skip the intro.

Speaking of Ithorians, they seem quite prevalent on At Attin and At Achrann. The two At Worlds we've seen appear to have quite diverse populations.

Finally caught up to this show and gotta say, it's been pretty charming thus far. Kid actors are good, Jude is real good. I think the last episode wasn't as strong as the prior episodes but other than that, I find it engaging. Love Neel too.

Was just watching the trailers again to see what we still haven't seen and realized the message the parents send is not being seen by the kids....but possibly the pirates.

Must admit I'm having a couple of issues with SC. One, it doesn't appear on any of the best of 2024 list. I only care because the more attention SC gets the better chance for a S2. While I'm all for a holiday release, would it have been better not to have the show air over two years? Two, after having watched only part of SC, the flaws in other SW shows seem to shine brighter. While comparing SC to other series is like the proverbial apples verse oranges, it does illustrate how special SC is to date. To think, here is a show that feels more SW, than SW, and it may not get noticed.

That will probably be the reason why pirates will find At-Attin. But also the reason for the NR to arrive too and help to defeat the villains.

I know it's not really need for the story, but is anyone ever going to let the kids know about the Empire? Jedi? NR?

Skeleton Crew and Andor Season 2 need to reap what they sowed of the IP and simultaneously build up goodwill with the little audience they have. Just focus on getting the consistent quality. I really don’t care about mainstream interest anymore, they’re gonna have to really fight for that again.

I’ll be angry if they end SC on a cliffhanger, though. I hope they were smart enough to make it fit one season.

Disney goes by their fiscal year and not the calendar year which don't run concurrently. Disney's fiscal year ends in I believe late September or early October. So from Disney's point of view SC is streaming in the same year ;)

This show has really grown on me. It’s easily my favorite out of all of the live-action shows now!

I'd love it if he mentioned some of those franchise buzzwords off-hand, and we get to see that none of it registers with the kids, because it's so unimportant to them. Reinforce the fact that anything beyond their homeworld's atmosphere is unknown, mysterious, the stuff of legend. Doesn't matter who's in power. It's just one big and scary "out there" in which danger lurks and adventure awaits.

[face_laugh] [face_laugh] It's funny you should say that, 'cause every time I use the words "out there" like that, I'm channelling Q from the finale of TNG.

They do not have a small audience. Just smaller than some of the most popular shows in the world.

Skeleton Crew is getting less viewers than Acolyte, which was cancelled after one season for low views, and seems like it has higher production value. Andor and Skeleton Crew are holdovers from an unsustainable business model, which at this point just needs to go out on a high note quality wise more than anything. Not even Mando Season 4 was considered cost effective, apparently. So…

Right. Fewer viewers. :) But they’re not cost-effective because of how much they cost, not because the viewership is actually all that low, compared to most TV shows. A huge amount of people watch them. They just need an insanely YUGE amount of people to justify the costs.

The Acolyte was cancelled because it was too expensive, there never was any statement about it being cut because its viewership was too low. Now, one could theorize that if it had audience numbers like The Mandalorian, the cost may have been considered to be acceptable, but that is not something anyone could possible judge properly.

We also have no idea whatsoever what the business model for the shows are, or what the income level is, as Hollywood purposefully refuses to give any indication as how well streaming works for them, while also playing tricks with the costs of everything they do. Which in turn leaves us with only the numbers they want us to see. All we can do is guess, which is the exact opposite of a fact.

All the data we actually get, are some weird minutes watched numbers, which not only are all over the place depending on the source and not necessarily factual, but also impossible to properly apply to any specific episodes. Unlike with the regular tv-ratings, viewings are for the entirety of all episodes a show has, though one can assume that the majority each week will come from the newest entry. These numbers also need to be taken in context, as a longer running-time inflates the total, so it will have the appearance that an episode running 45 minutes had a much higher viewership than one that ran 30 minutes, even when they had the exact same number of people watching them.

Have we seen this yet? I think it's a promotional still, but it looks like he has one of Brutus' guns on his belt. The second picture I screen shot from the official trailer and it looks like Jod has a lightsaber on his belt as well.

And the Cinder does look armor-less.

Edit. That could be towards the end. Jod rejoins the kids and helps defeat the pirats maybe?

Just look at the landscape behind them. Of the three locations they have landed together it's none of those.
