Agreed, which means he isn't all bad. I watched the last episode of Silo last night and thought, there might be some similarities with Solo. Once he learns the truth about the galaxy and gets to meet one of the few remaining / new Jedi, he might be receptive to what he could become on the light side of the force and how rare he is. He could also use it to exploit but I just think it is open to him getting redemption. I wonder who was on that frigate at the end, that might have something to say if there is a season 2.

    When KB crashed, I will
Have to rewatch but he seemed as distraught as Fern and I think Fern noticed it …I don’t think it will be the last we see of him (and the kids) May it be in a second season or in the upcoming movies or even Ahsoka season 2… just hope they did not shoot backstory just to cut it and never use it! But there is a redemption arc there for him IMO and this episode showed it… he wanted the money and kept saying i will kill who I have to kill but he was just distraught about what was happening and did not want to hurt the kids…

And he had PLENTY of opportunity to knock any / all of them off and he just couldn't bring himself to do it. There's a good guy in there. He doesn't seem like he's done anything near as bad as Vader for example.

    Yes!
The smirk at the end when the pirate ship sank I could not interpret: was it because he found a way out or because, in the end, he was happy they failed and saw he could change path?
Also Wim calling out “Jod!” when they were entering the elevator as to motion him to go with them.. I think it must have been quite powerful… it was powerful for me and demonstrated one of Wim’s strength: compassion!
He was offering Jod a chance and telling him “we would accept you between us even after that” and is sure meant something for Jod …
Or I misinterpreted the whole scene by projecting what I would have done ehehe

I like that it is open to interpretation. I interpreted it similar to you but could completely understand someone getting the complete opposite out of it.

    So Jod
was not a jedi, maybe just a youngling/padawan for few months. So they make the character younger then his actor. Makes sense.
He is in the end not really a bad guy but a complicated character, with dark momments.

Essentially his stepmother was an Order 66 survivor and he learned some force tricks from her.

He’s like an older Ezra...if the Ghost Crew were liquidated after season 1 and he spent the next few years living in abject poverty.

Which makes it perfectly set up for the two to meet in the future.

I get the impression he didn't train for very long, which is why he doesn't know certain abilities or maybe a little weaker in terms of the force.

I did wonder how Jod could act the way he does and not be pulled to the dark side. Because he clearly isn't a dark sider. I assume thats because he isn't that intuned to the force.

With all of Jod's lies throughout the series...here is what I think is true.

His name is Jod Na Nawood.
    He is Force Sensitive
As a kid he was very poor and hungry
He was trained briefly by a Jedi who was on the run after Order 66...and watched that Jedi be killed by the Empire
He is...as he told the kids..."lost and alone" and has been for a long time
He has mixed feelings about the kids. He really doesn't want to hurt them and maybe even cares about them somewhat...but is also angry at and jealous of them for the comfortable life they have because he did not have that at their age.

I’ll be honest I’d watch a young Jod show.

I can't say I'm thrilled with the story of the Jedi, on the run, finding and teaching him some stuff before being killed. It really just seems like a cheap excuse for him to be able to deflect blaster bolts using a lightsaber.

Jude Law is 52. Assuming Jod is anywhere close to that age, he'd have to be in his 20s when Order 66 happened. I guess the real question is, what's the youngest we can realistically assume Jod to be? Is it believable that he's around 35? Because if Skeleton Crew takes place in 9 ABY, it's been 28 years since Order 66. Of course, if Jod being in his 30s is too much of a stretch (though I suppose Star Wars has asked us to accept weirder age stuff than this,) an alternative could be that his master was kicked out of the Order before Order 66.

The original casting call when this show first sort of leaked out, back in 2022, was looking for kids between the ages of 10-12 and an adult man between the age of 30-40 as the series regulars. Obviously Jude Law is older than that, but...it’s Jude Law, they’re not gonna complain if he shows interest in their show. The character is younger than the actor, and that’s fine.

I'd like each episode to be framed by Jod Jack Silvo telling the stories himself, just to maintain our doubt about how true any of it is.

So, they did cast actress Yasmine Al Massri as Jod’s Jedi Master in a flashback scene that was apparently cut for time. She’s posted BTS images on her social media about it.

There is so much already planted if they do a season 2 and I think this will happen, the show will get a following through word of mouth I think.

ironic, considering a lot of people find the episodes too short as it is
