You don't only have to work on Star Wars at LFL, it's not like the studio hasn't made other stuff or can't create new IPs (there was a novel adaptation film series planned a few years ago but it got dropped).

Imagine being the person to come in and revive the fortunes of Lucasfilm, that would look great on a CV so it's a great challenge to take on.

It will do well enough if it's advertised properly, the screen I saw TPM in last year was nearly sold out.

 

My guess is they wanted to prioritize the synergy of ‘25 being ROTS’s 20th anniversary.

TPM isn't much better.
The problem is having anniversary posters for only two Prequels, kind of annoying. And it won't be in back in 2027 because that's the ANH 50th.

The point of view on the wall is awkward, since one is missing.

 

No poster for AotC makes it easier to keep telling my kids they never made it.

 

Shame they also never made TROS.

I'm sure Celebration Japan this year will have some great anniversary stuff going on for ROTS, panels etc

Hopefully Hasbro doesn't ignore it like it mostly did for AOTC & TPM

 

I’m sure they are ready to go all guns blazing into that market for a crappy twenty year old film that’s aged badly.
