Andor Andor Season 2 Discussion (Spoliers Allowed)

Here’s hoping the second season gets much more viewership

 

It seems each 3 episodes of Andor season 2 would be a year.

I guess they are planning to show all the ideas they have for 5 seasons.

 

I adore the shot of the partisan x wings taking off...
..I wanna see two tubes again and maybe bor will make an appeal ?

Is he safe?
Is he alright?

Does it really matter at this point? This is the final season.

 

Im going to guess that it won't get a big boost compared to series 1. My belief is that the viewership for Star Wars isn't often down to quality as much as it is the hype machine.

 

it could definitely matter in terms of more future shows like this, whether those are rogue squadron or wraith squadron or something completely new

 

I suppose so but I think Andor is going to be a one of a kind addition to the Star Wars franchise. I don't see us getting anything else like it again.

 

I'm just hoping to see more of Moroff. One of the best barely-glimpsed aliens in Star Wars.

How well it does with audiences could determine if we get more content related to it, or similar to it. So for me, it matters. As I want more like it.

 

it's already a spin off of a popular and well received film, this series would not exist if not for the popularity of RO

 

He was one of my fave side characters from the film. Got my son the figure. Would be great to see him make an appearance

 

I also want to see a back story for screaming Alien thingy from Rogue One.

Raddus doesn’t do cameos, he overshadows everyone and everything.

 

"What a swell party this is..." Seriously? Obviously series 1 was considered too high brow so they have sunk to this.

 

I believe a reference to the movie "High Society," which takes place in a high brow setting.



Apart from that, though, what exactly is the problem with the line? I'm genuinely confused.

 

I think the line suited his character well

 

I like my SW GFFA divorced from ours as much as possible. Silly nods, whether that be 'Mods', tassels on handlebars or piratey droids really grind my gears.

 

Is the issue about using a word ("swell") typically associated with "real life" 1950s?

I think context makes a difference to whether or not I feel this seems a bit like breaking the fourth wall... (bearing in mind that other words have been used in SW that also do this).

Everything about the way the trailer is put together doesn't speak Gilroy to me and the contexts are so cut up. So the quote feels out of place...

In RO (and the series?) Krennic often uses sarcasm. So I wonder if the context in which he is speaking is one where he is actually being demeaning - "swell party" is almost an insult. I think that would work OK.

Of course, I could be wrong, and Krennic loves his high society, 1950s easy living.

 

That’s a crap complaint. Crapper than the AK47 complaints from season 1.
