Haters always going to hate. More Ventress in the spotlight is always a welcome feature in my book.

 

So is that boy a survivor along with Gungi from that group of kids in The Clone Wars? That’s going to be a really interesting story or…is it Jod?

 

Lady Ventress and possible padawan = Excitement. Boba Fett = Not so exciting.

 

Yet another Inquisitor. Can't we come up with something else?

 

So this is basically "Tales of the Bounty Hunters" but instead of calling it that they once again cannibalized a previous (albeit unmade) SW title, which I find irksome. Especially since "Underworlds" is still something I wanna see made in some capacity someday. I have to join the few dissenters here and say I'm not as interested in this "Tales" as I was previous installments. Cad Bane is cool and all but I don't really need to delve into his backstory and possibly ruin the mystique and appeal of the character. Ventress with a padawan? Yet another Jedi-esque duo in the dark times when there really isn't supposed to be any, if you were to believe Obi-Wan in ANH telling Luke about Vader and the Empire hunting down and destroying the Jedi, and Yoda in RotJ telling Luke that he is the last of the Jedi. More dilution of OT lore. However...

That could be interesting fwiw.

 

She really didn't have a canonized ending on screen. It's pretty much a forgone conclusion that DD's ending has been retconned. The events in that last season of Bad Batch took place after Order 66 of course, right?

Hope that animation might be a way of seeing how plaguesis got from the cave and to show palps his skills. Animated Qmir would be cool...could be a tales of the sith next time..tho I know people want a clones one..and also an OT animation would be widely loved I think
I do think the ventress arc looks cool

 

So I think the Cad Bane shorts are about him in three phases of life.

Cad Bane backstory is not something I was expecting or really wanted but I'll watch it happily.

I’m ok with Ventress’ book death potentially being retconned (full transparency, I never read it). If they leave her alive I could see her being a great addition to the Ahsoka series.

Don’t think it quiiite lines up time-wise, but any chance that padawan of hers is Jod?

 

This looks darker and EXCITING....and personal, most importantly. And the Ventress voice actor is so fire. She has a ton of emotion and sadness in that post Dooku format via the trailer. I think this looks like the best animated content in a long time. Do we know who the writer is??? Are they new or same peeps from Tales' past iterations?

 

I remember when the VA held the role of that mysterious voice at the Temple in the TOTA episode of Rebels; and many people thought that it might suggest that Ventress had some influence within that temple or even that she herself would make a comeback in the series. Mind you that this was years before her "resurrection" in the Bad Batch episodes.

It looks like from the poster we see how Assajj Ventress was revived. And i see already fans complained about more jedi survivors as if GL didnt plan to have 200 in his Sequel Trilogy that Luke would find, lol.

 

Animation quality looks high.

 

Are people still saying meh? If not, I'm going to revive it.

Next week, I'm going to revive 'cool story bro'

 

I like the tales of series but they are making chronology watch throughs very complicated

 

Maybe so, although if Ventress' duel with Inquisitor will happen there, that will be rather hilarious.
