That has nothing to do with me not liking it.

 

Because his scene was so short and just before things ramped up, it took me out of the story. Bad placement to reveal a recast.

Too many thoughts to process tonight, but I love that the Ghor are the French resistance! I love Cassian as Bono the fashion designer! I love Bix turning the tables on her nightmares! I love that Luthen found a bit of humanity!

I knew what was going to happen with Cinta as soon as she appeared, a changed woman. But it was still absolutely heartbreaking.

What a story arc.

 

I agree here as this was the most ancipated acting job of the season. Bail means everything to the Rebellion. I want him to be a major part of this and understand Benjamin is taking the role but lets have a set up scene that acknowledges this, not some quick cameo shaking a hand and leave!

Great episode and this three parter beats out the first three for me even though the action was minimal. It's the tense moments from season 1 that are being replayed here and are on another level because we know as fans the Rebellion is so close to getting this done!
I was disappointed with the Ghorman part as i was expecting Cassian to be the sniper , explosions in the town square and all hell to break loose, but one guy cant be a cold blooded killer ruins it all? Then he's chastised in a scene just as bad as Bix's interrogation to me. He sniffles and cries his heart out. I get it, they all need to belly up and face this evil..but what does Jyn later say to Cassian after the lies and heartless action...."You're not much better than a Stormtrooper".
Great episode with tension and another party to attend to. Who else loves Lonnie and Kleha together?

7, 8, 9 the return to ghorman...and a more hideous massacre

 

That big alien guy at Sculden’s party is my new favorite big alien guy. Sorry Moroff.

 

The episode was great. A lot of wonderful tension. I absolutely hate the recast but I knew I would. At least it’s out of the way and I can focus on the things I do like.

I had zero issue with the recast. Although I always love me some Jimmy Smits.

 

How about all those aliens! Or as I've been told to call them...ETs. Some good costumes.

Yay for Bix getting some revenge on Dr. Gorst. I suppose that assassination was the next "job" Luthien sent her and Cassian on, given that the Empire wanted him to start building a whole department of torture technicians.

Also, Cassian saying "they're building a new complex office" at one point rather than "they're building a new office complex" felt like Diego Luna genuinely flubbing a line and momentarily slipping into Spanish adjective order.

 

I love Benjamin Bratt, but no noooo I needed Jimmy here man!! I immediately looked it up and Jimmy was unavailable due to scheduling conflicts with another show, and you can't satisfactorily tell this story without Bail showing up so ugh I get it. But it's such a big distraction for me.

That said. Good episodes, glad Bix made it another week! I felt pretty certain that the show was giving me cues that Andor or Luthen would kill her by episode 6 because she was a liability, but my fears thankfully were unfounded at least for this week. Not sure I liked how convenient they were able to find the doctor. Not even sure where Bix and Andor went to find him. EDIT: Actually I think i remember they were signalled by Luthen before the party, and I guess he gave them that assignment offscreen.

So, on Syrill, do we think he will end up sympathetic to the Ghormans in the end, or that he's all in on just conning them?
