    After just re-watching Captain America: The First Avenger, and knowing he directed that in addition to having worked on the classic Star Wars trilogy, I think Joe Johnston should be placed in the writer/director chair for a new Star Wars series.

    The guy has the creative chops and Star Wars bona fides to really blow it out of the water.

    What I want to know is why he hasn’t been tapped already?

    Edit: Evidently he’s retired from directing, but I think the right film could entice him...
