Not much posting today.

Just finished a long assignment about an International Border Dispute....

Oh school... HOW I HAVE NOT MISSED YOU!

 

If it wasn't for the fact that I cannot justify college debt, I would have finished college. But I dropped out with a 3.9 GPA and National Honor Society after I ran out of money to pay my own way 10 years ago. I went back a few times to finish certifications for my immediate career field over the years, but 2013 was the last time I was in a college classroom for anything. I've left a 60% completed Bachelor's Degree and 70% completed Associate's Degree on the table.

While I see value in higher education---I looooooved college and miss it---I don't see the point in debt. I never believed the "investing in your future" justification for college debt. I know far too many people that did that and now regret it. If someone can pay their own way through working while attending classes, scholarships, grants, or military service, I always encourage that. That's how I paid for all my classes and when the well ran dry, I stopped going. Looking back, I know I made the right choice for me and later my family (there's no way we could afford the house mortgage, 2 college debt accounts, and childcare expenses). But if I ever had the opportunity to return to college without college debt as an issue, I would in a heartbeat.

 

I had a dream that I met @Darth_Elu and @spacelady IRL.

I also had a dream where four different realities took shape in these large, spherical orbs, each a different color, and they existed on something like a pinball table, and each had their own slot, but when the reality spheres went into the wrong slots, our world kinda went topsy turvy and my wife disappeared and reappeared looking and sounding completely different, so I had to drive my car into a reality sphere when it appeared on the highway to reshuffle everything, then all was normal again.

So, like, I don’t know how to interpret any of this. I don’t do drugs.

 

Sorry. I probably spoke in the dream. When I do that, reality tends to get a bit warped for awhile. Apologies.

Speaking about school I hope to be going back to it this year. Hopefully will be changing my field to Biomedical technology, so that I will be building cyborgs soon
