Yankees fans would be too busy complaining about the Yankees online to go out and celebrate if they won.

One wonders in particular how aggressive the Angels will be this offseason; don't know why exactly, but would it surprise me if they landed Soto, as ridiculous as that might sound? No.

@jcgoble3 Ehhhh, L.A. vs. Boston is a very real thing, so using the Pats plane there, is well, odd.

Oh yeah. That's what we were doing in 2009. Thanks for reminding me.

Welp now that the Dodgers and Yankees got their World Series out of the way, time for another two weird unobvious teams to get hot towards the end of the season and blitz their way through the playoffs.

Reds? Pirates? Cubs? More successful Brewers berth? Twins actually advance? Orioles shake off this season and win it all?

    (Dang, this thread moves fast!)

It's funny. At the beginning of the season--and even at the beginning of the postseason--the prospect of a Dodgers championship felt abysmal to me. Kind of like they would've purchased a championship.

But I'll be honest, it's actually been fun watching* these Dodgers in this World Series!
*OK, I haven't actually watched any of it, but it's been neat following along on social media.

More than anything, I'm happy for our very own @DarthTunick (and @Glitterstimm! and anyone else here whom I may have left out) as well as for my cousin and his family who live out in LA. The Dodgers as an organization sort of feel like this corporate conglomerate gobbling up the rest of the league's talent, but you folks deserve good things and I'm glad your hometown team took home some more hardware for you. And as a Braves fan, I'm super happy that Freddie has emerged as a kind of demigod in this series! :D

But of course, more than anything: **** the Yankees. :)

If it makes you feel any better, as an Orioles fan, I'm pretty sure Baltimore is at the front of this line. :p

How about the Mariners finally break through.

With so many lesser franchises that stumbled into one, the Mariners streak of non-participation in the Fall Classic needs to end.

It's fascinating the Tweets that people find and post here in these Community forums.

"You know, I was just wondering what Ralph Nader was talking about on Twitter today".

LA vs NY rivalry isn't as big in Football (mostly because of the long draughts without teams in LA) and I figure Patriots are still sore about 18-1 thanks to Eli and the Giants (not to mention getting beat by a second time in the Super Bowl), so yeah, I could see Kraft doing this as a middle finger to NY fans.
