There is one -- and exactly one -- reason He-Man would end up on actual Earth that makes any sort of real sense. His mom went home and "something happened". It's not a great idea, and certainly not what one would want or think of when they think of "He-Man" -- but that would at least make some sense.

It's so easy to explain Eternia & the situation there to the audience if they're worried about it not being relatable.

Netflix did it in 1 minute

    Not a complicated plot

    Morena is 45.

If the Sorceress is 45, and had Teela in her early 20s, it all works.

I'm just afraid now they're gonna ship this story off to Studioville, USA, and the Sorceress will be in the film for about 4 disjointed minutes again.

@SithLordDarthRichie Even the MOTU movie did a decent job explaining it in about 30 seconds:

I remember seeing that as a 9 year old opening weekend with my parents and going, "Man this is going to get good". Too bad was about good as it was going to get. Again that wasn't Gary Goddard's (director) fault. He had a much different movie in mind including a massive battle at the beginning of the movie that showed how Skeltor used the time key to surprise He-Man and the Enternia defenses (you see the aftermath of it but not the battle itself) and it was going to explain how Queen Marlena is a earthing. But the Cannon Group was going bankrupt and made significant budget cuts which is a big reason why Superman IV is a giant turd outside of again as a 9 year old who also saw the movie at the theaters with my parents (my parents are movie buffs so they took me to the movies quite a bit including films I should have never saw as a little kid including as a 9 year old Beverly Hills Cop 2) thinking it was absolutely awful other then going, "Yeah I don't know why but I'm liking this Lacy Warfield character".

@Jedimarine I agree. I'm actually fine with the casting as even *waits for tomatoes to be thrown at me* Jared Leto could work but it taking place a lot on earth is utterly depressing. Yes it could work but we seen that in 1987. I'm okay with it taking place a bit on earth but I want to see Enternia explore. Sadly it sounds like we are not getting that. Yet again.

I think that it's about cutting down costs.

Which is exactly what this brand doesn't need.

If they are going to try to reopening this franchise, they should bring the spectacle.

If they cut corners, it's just another nostalgia bait, and I pray most people are wise to that trick by now.

That's why I am not even bothering to watch this. Even if they didn't replicate the look of the Filmation series, too much of what is left is too expensive.
