Animated Shorts Tales Of The Underworld - May 4th 2025

If one of main themes of SW is redemption, Ventress's arc is one of the most florid. I want to see where her story goes. I want to see her shine.

 

Yeh kinda but she was a great villain ....lol sometimes too much redemption

 

Star Wars is all about hope and redemption. And she has her villain arc because of Dooku who is now long dead. Every one of these Tales will be about Redemption and going dark.

 

Eh, the redemption stuff only became a theme in 1983.

 

No i believe it was there since the very beginning of ANH and his Whill drafts

 

Even if it is, doesn't mean that its something that should be reflected across the board for the franchise. Let some villains just say villains, let some heroes become villains and never really get redeemed.

 

Ventress spent too little time as a villain in TCW to begin with, being absent in season 2 and more or less becoming an antihero after season 3.

 

Yeah, I never got why she never showed up in Season 2 and then she is only villain for one episode of Season 3 before becoming a Spotlight character.

 

We got Maul remained a villain, same with others. And know in these times nothing is back and white

 

Maybe the plan to make her an antihero was devised rather early.

 

It looks like they are doing another Cad bane stand off in the show. He sure gets into a lot of those. Looks a little similar to the idea with Boba Fett in that unfinished Clone Wars episode just without Boba Fett.

I wonder if he will retcon that moment because it doesn't seem like he is interested in finishing it off.

Its just a tease for when we finally get Cad Bane vs Boba Fett...

 

I loved Ventress’ arc and it made sense for her. She’s become a very gray character. We’ve also had plenty of force users go both ways and some just stay bad.

Always bad: Sidious, Maul, Opress, Snoke (yes yes)
Always good: Luke, Leia, Kanan, Ezra, Obi-Wan, Ahsoka, Rey, Cal, most PT Jedi but they were bit part characters for the most part
Good to bad: Krell, Dooku, basically every inquisitor, Anakin, sort of a lot of force users in The Acolyte or they were at least dodgy, the twin from the Acolyte definitely, Malacos, Bode, Jod sort of
Bad to Good: Vader, Ventress, Ben, Reva, Luminara’s apprentice, Cere

I know I’m missing a lot but to me, in many ways, Ventress redemption is unique because unless I’m missing someone (and I’m not referring to printed media here because it gets retconned), Ventress is one of the few who started basically bad and then turned good or ok because most others started good, went bad but came good again.

 

Might be on the path of escaping jedi

 

I think a lot of the Acolyte characters are very complex..sol is a good man who did a bad thing.. Venestra is a being who has lived a long time and has become much darker and cynical and paranoid over time..Qmir I think is bad and a great villain as is plaguesis obviously
There are a lot of bad that turn good like Kallus and I guess even Hux was saying
I hope the likes of Deedra stay bad as she's a great empirical villain too

 

But I'm talking purely force users, so that counts out Kallus and Hux, etc.

 

Unpopular opinion: I hope this show doesn't explain how she survived. Her death was in a book. Therefore how she survived should also be explained in a book.

I heard on SW Leaks that Tales of Sith is possible, and one part is supposed to be about Darth Bane, sounds interesting, but it's still a gossip category

 

Hux wasn’t good. As he said himself, he didn’t care if the Resistance won. He was just petty and didn’t want Kylo Ren to win.

Star Wars sessions podcast said the next two would be Tales of the Sith and Tales of the Bounty hunters. So we could get the Boba Fett duel in Tales of the Bounty hunters

 

I’m inclined to think if theyre actually coming from a place of good faith, then they got their wires crossed and this is Tales of the Bounty Hunters. The marketing in the trailer even presented it as the story of two Bounty Hunters.

 

True, but i bet LFL will do a Tales of Bounty hunters but with Boba Fett and Jango Fett.

 

That would be cool. We need more Jango content.
