Maybe prince Xizor could have his own tv series animated or live action

Well he might appear in other tv shows animated or live action but maybe not his own show

I guess we’ll see how the Darth Maul show does.

If this is a big hit we might get more dark and mature animated shows. Maybe even Darth Vader like half the fandom wants.

The more I think about the possibilities for different storylines in this show, the more excited about it I get.
I especially hope for more insight into the Sith; especially with the unfortunate cancelllation of The Acolyte.
With Maul now being "formerly Darth", I'd love to see more of his views on the order he used to belong to. It could also be a good opportunity to show some ancient Sith Lords; be it through visions or Holocrons, or what have you. Since we know Maul eventually ends up at a Sith temple, it's clear that he's still interested in the Sith, and Sith artefacts.

Dryden Vos in Solo in his yatch ship has all kinds of force afrifcts. He has a big Sith holocron. I think we see Maul Research the Sith and how to defeat them. In the comics with Qira, Maul tells his plan and idea in how to defeat the sith.

Maul goes on a Three Hour Tour to Malachor and it all goes wrong again from there.

I am glad they are deciding to circle back to this time period. Having Maul randomly show up as leader of Crimson Dawn in Solo was definitely something worth exploring. I always figured it would be a comic, I’m surprised it became a series.

Ever since TOTA I assumed by the delivery of the "I cannot defeat Vader alone" line that Maul did in fact fight Vader, and lost. I've since imagined that said fight might have something to do with the fact that we saw him go from a powerful crime lord to a nobody hiding in a deserted planet without explanation. Maul knew about Vader and his role in the Empire, about the Jedi purge and the Inquisitorius, about other crime lords and galactic affairs... basically, he had a greater insight of the state of the galaxy thanks of his knowledge of Sidious´ vision and modus operandi.

All of this makes for a story that is, for me, greatly interesting, and this show appears to delve into it. Even if his come back wasn't something I completely agreed with, his character deeply grew and became profound and charismatic (beyond only his visual design) with it. Dark times (my favorite era in all of Star Wars) or not, I think this is a story that needed to be told, and we could get a really good series because of it.

Another clone wars tv show based on the video game I would love to see is a live action republic commando with the same actor who played Jango, boba and the clones.

Or republic troopers who are not clones let alone separatists troopers who aren’t droids

But still, I am thrilled we are seeing a Darth Maul tv show.

That's during the latter half of Bad Batch. Maybe this show could feature some of those supporting characters, like the Durands.

Yes and we could get more in future games instead of just dark times and OT Rebellion.

Disappointed in this choice as the next ongoing animated series......

I like the idea of a villain perspective show, and I do think Maul's story is worth telling pre-Rebels.

But it really goes to show how Disney has an obsession (which isn't surprising, you have Empire, Vader, Inquisitors, Maul, order 66 survivors, early Rebellion, etc....) towards the Dark Times. This series is coming out when the last ongoing was Bad Batch, and its even still in very early Empire.

Why not set the next ongoing in a different era for a change?

I would have much preferred finally telling a canon tale of young Palpatine and Plagueis. Other then Dookus arc in Tales of the Jedi, we havn't seen before in animation the pre-TPM PT era. An animated series showing the rise of Palpatine pre-TPM is just more interesting then yet again another Imperial era show.

Eventually we could then go back to Maul.

I dont think we are going further then TPM in a big animation show. It will either be dark times, prequel era, OT/post ROTJ or in the Sequel era .

Yeah it seems that animated shows for the most part are going to be set in already established eras, hence all the dark times stuff. I think they want to break into uncharted eras with films first, then follow with animated shows as adjunctive content. High Republic era is obviously an exception as it was started as a print initiative but apparently wasn't as successful as they had hoped. If the DotJ film is a success I would bet we will get an animated show in that era at some point.

And we wont get Dawn of the Jedi until at least 2029. We be more likely first to get animation show between Starfighter and Rey's New Jedi Order.

Which is pretty dumb. Most of the PT era is actually pre-TPM. From TPM to end of the Clone Wars is only 13 years. High Republic ended around 100BBY and TPM is 32BBY.

    So 68 years.

There is an ongoing comic series called Jedi Knights set pre-TPM and it’s set when obiwan is already Qui-gons apprentice.

An animated series can even be set before that, following younger versions of Dooku, Qui-gon, Mace Windu, etc.

With the High Republic winding down and Disney not yet going even further pre-High Republic, the pre-Clone Wars PT era is ripe for more stories. And some of these stories should be in animation.

If not pre-TPM, then a sequel to TPM showing the first years Obiwan is training Anakin. That is a good way of giving fresh stories to those two characters.

I just want animated content that explores more of the Old Jedi Order during the long wait for DoTJ. I don’t count young Jedi adventures.

Since the Japanese anime vision is its own canon continuity of Star Wars not part of the main saga, wouldn’t be cool if Disney brought back the legends/eu material for separate animation continuity in the vintage section on Disney plus?
