Who should head of Lucasfilm?

Maybe TCW is a Lucas product and it is not my favorite but i accept it i would have liked to have seen its Sequels with Vader Grandchildren as protagonists maybe it would not have been perfect but it would have guaranteed that it would not have been a copypaste of the OT and we would have seen something new

 

To be fair kylo is his grandchild. It's because Luke's romantic life was always thrown into disarray after George made the jedi celibate that created difficulty.so kylo Vs Rey was as close as could be got. It's this aspect of GLs treatment I'd love to see most. I must have thought GL was right to make up the attachment thing as when I heard about the mara jade character so many years ago I just wasn't interested...maybe a better idea would have been to make Rey a long lost sister of kylo which was a fan theory for a long time. But after really loving the idea that Palpatine/plaguesis created anakin to begin with I quite liked Rey Palpatine too..but I think two feuding siblings would have been good one dark one light

 

The Jedi were not celibate. They just couldn't start families intentionally, which includes getting married. Note that Lucas said that Luke wouldn't be married in the Sequel Trilogy. He didn't say that he wouldn't be a father.

 

So, families are out, but deadbeat dads are OK? GL should have put some more thought into that idea.

 

Exactly. Lucas's ideas on relationships weren't always the best.

 

Qui-Gon did think that Anakin's father was a Jedi, when he asked who his father was. But be it as may, who says that the Jedi in question is a deadbeat? The Jedi would still find a way to support the child financially. They can still visit if they have the time to do so. If the Jedi tests the child and they are strong in the Force, they can discuss training them in the Temple.

 

Financial support and rare visits with no attachment is no way to be a parent. It's not just the lack of money that makes a deadbeat.

Attachment doesn't mean that a Jedi cannot show affection. We see that throughout the Saga and in TCW. It means that a Jedi cannot be selfish with relationships and cannot try to control people. Obi-Wan saw Qui-Gon as a father figure, the same way that Anakin does later on. There's emotional ties between them. But if they are threatened, the Jedi must not be vulnerable to their emotions. They must be willing to let go if it becomes necessary.

Serpico and his boys are at it again. Gosh darn it they will be right one of these days if they keep repeating the same thing over and over again.

 

Especially considering it's basically the same people reporting it over and over again.

In a way yes. What it is is individuals who have their livelihood wrapped up in providing people news. If these individuals were only to provide legitimate news they wouldn't be able to provide their supporters enough material to keep the majority of them subscribed.

So they end up doing stuff like this. Reporting things that could 'potentially' be true.
