I really enjoyed elements of it. Especially the little elephant Kiwi, which is still my avatar.

The problem was an undercooked mystery and truly poor writing/ character development for the protagonist twins. Along with at times cheap-looking sets, etc.

But I was intrigued and wanted to see more from the Senate guy who was launching an investigation of the Jedi.

I would order it immediately. I think there's a chance of that happening once they start publishing books.

Really looking forward to seeing Manny appearance at celebration. Currently looking through all the footage from day one...
I hope he gets an amazing reception in Japan. What I liked about the Acolyte, despite it's flaws was it's Oriental feel and thought Qmir was a great character and a great look and performance. Would love to hear about some continuation of the story...id love an animation at least of his story and plagueis of course

I am jumping into this with an idea I had that relates to the Acolyte show from last year, and the Prequel Trilogy. (Just in time for May the Fourth, right?!) I might be double-posting here, so if the following discussion was previously focused on elsewhere on these forums, please help me and direct me to the appropriate thread.

    Okay, here goes.

The idea that certain Jedi are curious about what a vergence is has got me more and more intrigued. I made a connection to what Sol is interested in on Brendok, because it involves life created by the Force, and further, to the quite confident, maybe over-confident, assertion by Qui-Gon Jin that Anakin is a product the Force. In both instances, by Mother Aniseya in the Acolyte, and by Sheev Palpatine in Revenge of the Sith, that life was created by someone manipulating the Force. As a viewer, I feel both Sol and Qui-Gon Jin are wrong, because it seems obvious that the Force didn't just push out Osha, Mae, and Anakin out of its cosmic womb. I'll say it again, each time we are presented with the idea of a vergence, the characters say that the Force did it on its own, but just by watching these shows, each case involved manipulations of the Force by a person. Yes, I agree, that those manipulations do occur off-screen. But why can't the Jedi detect this as well? If what I am thinking has a a thread of potential truth, then the Jedi likely got it all wrong. There is no vergence, there are no vergences, and it all feels like bright-sided wish fulfillment confirmation bias logic by both Sol and QGJ. Sol wants to study it. QGL wants to believe in some ancient words. And the more I think about the virtues of the Jedi, the more I am weirded out by Sol and QGJ. At the same time, I am intrigued by the adjacency of Darth Plagueis in each instance. He observes and creeps on Quimir and Osha in the shadows, and by implication, has learned at that moment of the idea of using the Force to create life. And by the time of Revenge of the Sith, we get nuggets of info from Sheev Palpatine that he learned about creating life from the Force.

    Plagueis is the connection.

If it isn't obvious in the post by now, I am starting to believe the Sith outdid the Jedi on this, they surpassed Sol's desire, and destroyed QGJ's beliefs. If all true, and if my thinking on this has even the tiniest shred of believability, it really does portray a sad picture of the Jedi. But in the end, it all was a zero-sum game, wasn't it? I hope the upcoming Rey trilogy explores this further, the fact that she was a clone by-product should be more than just a passing curiosity to her, and in fact, should have far-reaching impact to the philosophy and teachings of a potential future new Jedi group. Interesting stuff to think about, even if this is nothing but a garbage post.
