Saw a funny comment on Facebook:

"Shedeur Sanders is the Bronny James of the NFL."

Quickfire thoughts with a lean toward teams I know have fans here...

--Great mega-trade at top. Jags need to put butts in seats (dead last in packing their stadium %) and now have a face of the franchise, a way to see if T-Law is their guy (with BTJ), and what could be an elite corner in certain situations to boot. Browns get a great haul and can still get a QB today or with their capital next year.

--Giants prob have the best D-line in football now. If you never saw Abdul Carter play in college, you'll enjoy seeing him for the first time. He looks like a freak.

--Raiders might not (ever?) win anything picking RB that high, but Jeanty will prob be a Hall of Famer. It's a two-high league now though so maybe they do win something too.

--I don't know what the Cowboys are doing, like, ever, but especially here. I wasn't super high on Booker.

--Tyler Warren is a hell of a player, but who on the Colts is gonna throw him the ball. Maybe they just run wildcat with him.

--Bengals take a 10/10 traits edge with 1/10 production, which...they already did last year with Myles Murphy. Silver lining is he seems like an insane worker and feels slighted, so maybe puts it together under a new DC. Could look like the bust of the first otherwise, in a draft Cincy needed to ace.

--Emeka = more than a great route-runner, he's more physical with the ball and a blocker than you'd think and an incredible leader. Still I don't know what Tampa is doing re-signing Godwin (they both play the slot) and having McMillan to do this. He gets to keeps saying Go Bucs though.

--I don't want to talk about the Steelers getting Harmon. If they also get Will Howard as a value QB I'm gonna get blackout drunk

--Donovan Jackson is a stud for the Vikings. They prob said this on the broadcast (I watched mute) but he kicked out to LT from G and not only helped run the ball down Penn State & Abdul Carter's throat to ice a game, he allowed 0 sacks and only 2 pressures in what was the greatest college playoff run ever.

--The Rams fleeced the Falcons unless maybe one of those guys becomes DRoY or a star later on or something. I'm hedging with that, but then again I should b/c the NFC South is just so wide open.

--The Commanders got luxury-- a guy who can slot in at G for Cosmi recovering from an ACL, who can be a swing tackle in case of another injury, who can be groomed to take Tunsil's spot if they don't re-sign him after a couple. This team's window just feels wide open.

--...except that the Eagles are in that division and they keep getting away with **** like this, themselves having the luxury of letting Campbell recover. Philly is in a tier of their own as a well-run franchise and I don't think it's close.

--lol @ all the Ohio-hating Chiefs fans having to get hype about a Buckeye. He developed into a beast and his injury mid-Oregon game (the first one obviously) tanked the offense b/c he was so vital. His injury is no joke but he did drills at THE Ohio State pro day and doing that so soon/with that kinda frame is no joke either. He shouldn't have dropped like this.

--Looking at Day 2...there's so much Shedeur hate for a kid who never really got into trouble. Feels like it's about his dad or his braggadocio, but at a position where the latter is kind of a benefit? Facts are he was deadly accurate (which can cue pretty closely with NFL success), made reads at the line in an NFL-style offense, took a 1-11 team into bowls (including balling out when Hunter was hurt). I'm not gonna say he'll have a better career than Dart w/o knowing where he's going while Dart chucks Daboll deep balls to Malik Nabers, but he's arguably a better prospect.

Sorry for the length I just watch a lot of college football lmao
