I'd probably make sure there'd be protections in place before threatening to blackmail a Rebel organization. I mean you really have two roads. Ask nicely for a specific reasonable number without making it look you're willing to snuggle up to the Imps, or come to the table with something that ensures they can't just kill you with no worries, like the classic "I have a computer scheduled to upload xyz if I don't manually cancel it" preferably still asking for a specific reasonable number.

Signed his death sentence with that weak "Yeah I might snitch, see you next Monday, toodle-loo!".

Now you’re just trolling, Fred. You know people aren’t clamoring for Wikipedia articles. They’re clamoring for well-told stories with great characters and great worlds in an interesting and cool-looking time period in the GFFA. And it feels so satisfying to reinforce and feed into the OT and Rogue One. It’s another brick in the wall of creating an immersive galaxy.

What do people think of this season's release schedule? Because of how the season is structured, it was good being able to digest that first arc as a whole, and I don't think those episodes would have been as effective if you left too long between watching them, but I am sad that we'll only get 4 weeks of this.

When it comes to weekly release schedules it feels like "I want more and I know I shouldn't" because it also feels like the season goes by too fast when they basically just upload a 10 hour movie at once and you can't properly digest the episodes on their own if you wan't to get ahead of spoilers or just be up to date with current discussion.

When it comes to a heavily serialized, relatively slow paced show, 3 episodes at once might have been the best compromise. If it wasn't for the specific arc structure of the season, I might prefer only two episodes a week.

Same as season one, so not good. We wont see more of this type of shows like Tony Gilroy said.

But why the OT again and not PT, ST or between the eras. Sounds all you want is more OT.

I think Bor is pretty well documented as wanting a variety (and I agree with him). I'm not sure what "OT again" means exactly - how close to an era does a show have to be to not count as "between the eras"? The state of the galaxy in Andor is much closer to what you would get in a show set midway between the PT and OT then it is to a show set during the OT. We have a bunch of shows that take place in post-OT space (after the Empire has fallen - not immediate post-OT), that are very different from what an OT show would be. We have seven seasons (plus numerous Tales... episodes) of PT. We have shows in the immediate post-PT era (e.g. Bad Batch and soon to be Maul), in the "interquel era" (e.g. Obi-Wan Kenobi), a late-High Republic/early prequel era show, an ST show. Literally not one single show that takes place during the OT. What is this OT saturation that is so concerning? Even Rebels and Andor, the two shows most closely tied to the OT, take place before the Rebels have even won their first battle against the Empire. If we got AOTC and ROTS, then a few shows in the five years pre-AOTC and the five years post-ROTS, would you reject the idea of more Clone Wars content?

If we got 10 PT shows yess and we got 10 OT shows from Rebels to Andor.

Fred, stop ignoring what people are saying. Riv rightly noted that I support a variety of things from Disney - in terms of style, tone, and time period. It’s pretty much been my main thing here. I want Star Wars to free itself of the same old formulas, and tell stories in different ways, as Andor, Skeleton Crew, and Mando S1 and S2 have done best, in my view. And Acolyte, though the execution in that case I found severely lacking.

Also, you need to accept the FACT that we actually haven’t had ANY shows or films set during or between the OT films, which is what I was originally talking about before you started your tirade against anything in the era.

Just read what people write, and respond to what they write, instead of creating all kids of strawman nonsense so you can keep your argument going.

It can't be as simple as people wanting to see those classical elements of Stormtroopers, Imperials, Vader, X-Wings and Rebels. Most of those elements have been in the most successful Disney produced SW.

If we do get another show in this era make it sounds something special. We have had the Rebellion stories

To be fair I think Andor at least up until this point does tend to function in 3 episode blocks so giving people the chance to watch it that way all at once is nice.

That's really the surprising thing for me, given how long Star wars has been around and how many spinoffs there have been the wider setting of the OT really has not been covered that much. In the OT it tends to be more of a backdrop and motivation whilst the lead characters are often somewhat detached from it and nothing since then has really looked to flesh it out onscreen much either.

We've seen the era just prior to the OT fleshed out very effectively with Andor and Rogue One now and I'd guess there maybe more room to cover that as well even after the former is done given that its only 2 seasons and not one for each year pre Yavin. I think the OT era has plenty of potential to do the same, you have the potential for a great deal of events/characters we've not seen yet(or havent seen much of) a setting which has a lot of potential with its politics, how does the rebellion grow? how does the Empire change as it moves into more open bloody dictatorship and civil war?

I think Genevieve O'Reilly could actually be a great anchor for a lot of that, her Mothma seems to play off of other characters so well and has a lot of potential for development.

You know how when people are discussing the best Star Wars character, and everyone is saying names like Luke, Obi-wan, General Grievious, Han or Vader, and then the absolute dweebs speak up like “um, none of those guys can hold a candle to Gluppious Maximus, star of my favorite spin-off material”? I feel like that’s starting to become me with Luthen Rael.

I need to know more about the bloke who randomly led the Senate in the Pledge of Allegiance.

More importantly , I need a scene where everyone relevant to Imperial rule are gathered and being led in the Pledge of Allegiance, and Darth Vader is reciting it alongside everyone else because Sidious is glaring at him.

I thought it was better as an arc as a whole.. pacing was spot on...the spy thriller elements really worked well.... nothings as incredible as Harvest but top drawer all the same
