Umm, those films in Funny People are deliberate parodies of the films that Sandler has been in. It's not as though Sandler has some gold standard that must be upheld. The film's he's been in that aren't made by Paul Thomas Anderson and, arguably, Judd Apatow, are all rubbish.

And I don't know what the reviewer is talking about. Undercover Brother doesn't involve Martin Lawrence OR fatsuits, to the best of my knowledge. That'd be Big Momma's House or whatever it was.

'Course being the unabashed Sandler fan that I am I'll probably find this film highly entertaining anyway.

There was, for a time, talk in my neck of the woods, and maybe elsewhere, that the Jack & Jill trailer was a spoof of awful movies/trailers. Unfortunately, that wasn't so.

The real shock and awe-you're-kidding-me is Al Pacino stooging for a comedian in drag...

They should have watched Austin Powers and taken notes. If you are going to make the same actor play two roles in the same film, then those characters should be completely different, ie Mike Meyers playing Austin, Dr. Evil and Fat Bastard in the same scene.

Erm, Martin Lawrence wasn't in Undercover Brother. At all.

Reviewer who doesn't actually know movies, or one who thinks black people all look alike?

I think he was trying to remember the title of Big Momma's House and just failed totally and miserably.

Brain process probably went something like:
    1. Martin Lawrence cross-dressed as a fat woman because his character was an undercover agent
    2. Crap, what was the name of that?
    3. Er... wait, wasn't there a movie called Undercover Brother? Maybe that was it?
    4. Double crap, this article's due in five minutes
    5. Okay, going with Undercover Brother.
    6. Alright, article submitted.
    7. ... Wait, couldn't I have just checked imdb? Son of a-

Comedians just love cross-dressing, for reasons I'm not even interested it. The Brits are the worst, but they all do it.
