They probably fired Purvis and Wade again and are rewriting their script before they bring back Purvis and Wade again. That has paid off a few times though!
Am I missing something cause I could live without Purvis and Wade. But I'm pretty sure know one wants my idea of a next 007 cause my Bond 7 would more like the Roger Moore era. The Craig Era was in many ways mirroring the first five Connery films. I'd be so disappointed to see the next 007 doing the same things they just did. I say have him drive something else then the Austin Martin, Come on Lotus! No HARD reboot just a soft reboot with no introduction as the norm. More villainous driven motives without any personal connection to 007. Less over-dramatic acting would be welcome. Less Bourne or The Dark Knight so to speak. Stop Killing Felix Lighter! I want the Ben Whinshaw as Q and do another series. Like the original Q. I'm not sure if they should get a new M or bring back Ralph Finns* however...
No way, the Aston Martin is sweet...I have no problem with him driving multiple cars in a film, however, including the Lotus. I am fine with this...the Hollywood obsession with origin stories MUST END! Agreed...but it doesn't need to go completely megalomaniac either. Villain as a stranger, but with his/her feet solidly on the ground, and a step ahead of 007...that works. I want to see Bond smile again and mean it. Laugh! Enjoy some of this opulent world of privilege he gets to run roughshod through. I am out on Whishaw...he's too cold...it may have worked for Craig, but not for a lighter Bond I am hoping for. My pick? Richard Ayoade I think he could nail the role of Q for another generation of Bond fans. M is easy because of the stoic element of the character...so it can be easily filled. The carry-over of M from one Bond to another has aided, to some extent, with continuity in the past, so bringing Fiennes back is acceptable...but going fresh is also acceptable. Honestly, I've considered having a previous Bond become the new M...Brosnan or Dalton could fill the bill...and then the fanbase can go into overdrive over whether this is the same universe or not. This works equally well if one of them came back as the new "Big Bad".
Here's a question : which Bond does the best 'Walk, turn, fire!' you know at the start of the movie. I think it's Dalton. also - I think I'm right in saying Connery didn't do all of his (?)
I think Dalton's look best, too. And yes, it's stunt man Bob Simmons rather than Connery in Dr. No, FRWL, and Goldfinger.
I think I'd go Brosnan, though this is a silly thing to quibble about. Mostly, we are arguing over trends in men's suits as they move. I see no-one wants to go back to the bell-bottoms.
After seeing Deadpool and Wolverine I wonder if they regret killing off Daniel Craigs 007 now that they see these other franchises still succeed after 20+ years. I don't think we seen the last of Bond 6 aka daniel craig.
I don’t think EON really does regret, or that they worry about chasing every potential revenue opportunity.
They got wise to something early on other "keepers of the brand" have failed to realize. No matter how big a check someone offers you...in the long run, the brand will be worth more. I expect generations of the Broccoli family to inherit this brand. Decades after Amazon is a decayed corporate shell, EON will still be making Bond, and making money.
For me, it's a toss-up between Roger Moore's first pose (from Live and Let Die and The Man With the Golden Gun) and Pierce Brosnan. The latter is the fastest, most direct, no-nonsense kind of shot. Whilst I like that he filmed a two-handed alternate (seen in the teaser trailers for Tomorrow Never Dies) as a throwback to Moore, it's a lot slower, so I'm glad they stuck with his original throughout his run. I think I've mentioned this before, but my excitement at seeing a gunbarrel front-and-centre again in SPECTRE was totally undercut by Daniel Craig waving his sidearm around for all to see. I'd say that specific "Walk, turn, fire!" is my least favourite. Several of the Bond actors have said (quite seriously) that it was the hardest part of the job. All I know is that I couldn't possibly comment, 'cause I certainly didn't waste hours of my childhood walking back and forth across my room, with the gunbarrel soundtracks blaring out. Nope. Nuh-uh. Never. Not even once.
I don't recall if this was posted here, but I just stumbled across it and thought it was pretty cool and well done.
