Okay, so follow along with me for a second.

    1) B2 super battle droid gone independent.
    2) Replaces built-in blaster rifle with heavy weapon mount.
    3) Purchases E-web repeating blaster.
    4) Mounts it and hooks it up to internal power source.
    5) Internal power source is insufficient; replaces with generator required for use of E-web.
    6) Due to vastly increased ("nearly unlimited", to quote the RCB) power source, only has to recharge once every three or four months of continuous activity, rather than once every 100/200 hours.

Plausible? (Don't talk to me about credit cost, either.)

    NO.
field generator is too large for the droid to carry without being seriously encumbered. It takes 2-4 snowtroopers to carry it.

Unless I'm thinking of a different weapon...

Or, it could be a voltage factor. The generator is designed to feed a weapon with a high yeild of power. The droid's power needs are very modest, to the point where the generator would need a lot of adaptors to bleed down the power levels to what the droid's systems could handle. Every hook a 1.5 volt light or 3volt LED to a 9-volt battery? Burns nice & bright... ...for a couple seconds... before the smoke poors out.

When it comes down to it, why not put a droidika together and put the droid brain in that? That's basicly what you're describing. If cost is no object, then that would be the way to go.

It's all sorts of broken, but it is your game.

Well, yes, that's good and all. Assuming it never fires the E-web. All other factors aside, if it used the E-web, the generator it replaced it's origional with would be supporting the, I'm assuming enormous, energy required to actually fire the thing, not to mention the droid itself and likely it's blaster. It'd probsbly be offline in a few rounds. Then there is the issue of cooling. I understand that droids have a cooling system of some kind allready, but unless the droid purchased an entirely new system, it'd probably end up fusing into a solid object. Plus, what would recoil from the energy output do to the droids' arm?

Think you may be misusing the word "recoil". If not: the Heavy Weapon Mount droid accessory handles the recoil from it.

Ah. Allright, then. I suppose that works.

Also, I do know what recoil means, as I have been on the recieving end before. I can just see the e-webb firing, only to take the poor droid airborne...

"Sir! It appears the enemy droids can now fly by shooting!"

"My, god... our worst fears realized!"

"We've also run out of health packs and ammo drops!"

"My God times two... we're all going to DIE soldier."
