Gaming A Mandalorian game is (not) in development

Respawn’s first person game that they have been making for like 2 years is apparently a Mandalorian game

And its set during the Galactic Civil War, connection with Outlaws i suspect.

 

First person ... sigh.

Can't stand em. Always get instant headaches.

 

Also as the the variation of the leaks I don’t remember a time when these guys were wrong

 

Respawn was founded by the creators of the Call of Duty franchise, so it being an fps makes sense.

 

Most of the time, when I hear mobility and style as being the aim for a first person Mando game, I'm sceptical, but not when it's from the company that did Titanfall II.

 

So i wonder if it will be a new character or will be legacy character as the Mandalorian, i am little annoyed by first person mode, but can deal with if good.

 

Perhaps this explains why so many episodes had the plot of "infiltrate and destroy the underground Imperial base."

 

Fredrik - Have you played Titanfall II? If not, you need to.

 

Plus they probably did not want to do a second Star Wars project that was third person with Jedi 3 already in the works

I have heard excellent things about the titanfall games just haven’t gotten around to playing it

 

They could do a really cool HUD given the whole high tech helmet thing.

 

I wonder if this game we can visit Mandalore before its glassed.

 

It’s been ages since I have played a first person game. It’s not exclusively first person but I think the last time I played one was fallout 76.

One was multiplayer only.

Two included a campaign story that will be immortal as long as there are gamers who talk about it.

 

To be fair, the TF2 campaign deserves to be immortal. It is amazing

It turns out that whining about games being first person is the go-to now that the Xbox fire has been put out.

First Indy, now Mando.

 

I mean I prefer third person too, but I also just.... Like good games? I'm more concerned with whether they're good than anything.

 

It"s definitely a deliberate choice by Respawn, as we know they do third person well, but they're also the bunch that did Titanfall II, so....

I'm inclined to trust them on this.
