Starwars.com Hyperspace has now confirmed that Jedi Master Plo Koon will be appearing in Episode III (possibly even with some dialogue lines), again played by Matt Sloan who portrayed the character in Episode II.
This means that now, only days before shooting is to begin, most prominent Jedi and background Jedi who appeared in Episode II have now been confirmed (or denied) to appear in Episode III: Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Mace Windu, Yoda, Plo Koon, Ki-Adi Mundi, Stas Allie, Bultar Swan, Shaak Ti, Luminara Undulli, Barriss Offee, Saesee Tinn, Agen Kolar, ... but not Aayla Secura. There has been no word nor reliable rumor about Aayla Secura returning in Episode III (and hence portrayed by Amy Allen).

Unfortunately it's beginning to look like Aayla Secura may not appear in Episode III. :(
(Which seeing how many other Jedi from Episode II are returning is quite disappointing.) Either the character doesn't feature in Episode III (script) or perhaps Ms. Allen who portrayed the character is not available to take up the role again (or may have declined or not been contacted for it).

    Well, one must hope still...

Starwars.com posted a feature news article on Episode III casting, with a fair update of actors/actresses returning or newly cast for characters to appear in Episode III.
Unfortunately no official word yet on the possible appearance of Aayla Secura (as portrayed by Amy Allen) in Epsiode III. :(

Some explanatory news from Starwars.com Hyperspace as to the sporadic news and confirmation of characters (and actors/actresses) that will appear in Episode III is that for some characters their appearance may be cut from the film or the deal for the actor/actress playing the part may not be finalized yet. In many cases the deal with the actor/actress playing the role is finalized but the actor/actress in question may not be at liberty to disclose his/her appearance yet.

This leaves many possible explanations as to why there is no official word yet on Aayla Secura's (as portrayed by Amy Allen) possible appearance in Episode III.

Well, I'll keep my hopes up still. :)

Well, hello everybody. :) I am a huge fan of Aayla Secura, as evidenced by the last line in my sig. :p I'm such a huge fan that I included her in my fanfic (shameless plug :D) Dawn of a New Era I: Jedi Resurrection. Although Aayla does not appear that much in the story, her daughter Kitana (one of my original characters) gets major "screentime." If anybody is interested in fanfiction, please feel free to read and respond to my fic. :) Thank you.

JediMasterKobe, that sounds cool, I'll read that fanfiction story as soon as I can. :)
(I must confess I'm writing a small story involving Aayla's granddaughter, what a funny coincidence is that? :p If I ever finish it that is ... I write rather slowly and poorly sadly.)

Here is some of Kampilans latest Aayla Secura themed fan artworks. (Currently hosted at http://www.yodaminch.com.)
Some rather cool art, especially the colored 'Clone Wars' themed pieces are terrific. A lot of detail is visible in the underlying pencils and a very good coloring job was done. Especially Aayla Secura and the ARC Trooper were very well rendered. :)

It's not Aayla Secura but still, seems female blue Twi'leks are quite popular with the fans. - In the upcoming role-playing adventure game "Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic", one of the main characters will be a female Blue Twi'lek named Mission Vao. While she will not be a Jedi it sounds more like she will be a Han Solo type character, as her partner is a Wookie called Zaalbar.

Here's a great picture, especially with Mission holding that katana-like sword. (Though the inset image is very cute.)

Starwars.com had this picture of Amy Allen at the San Diego Comic-Con in their SDCC report.
(Amy Allen who portrayed Aayla Secura in Episode II attended the SDCC on Saturday, signing and posing for pictures at the Master Replicas booth.)

    Hello all. :)

    Greetings from San Diego, CA.

Last Saturday, the 19th, I had the opportunity to have a photo taken with Miss Allen as well as purchase an autograph from her at the San Diego Comic-Con. It was a pleasant experience but I regret not asking her whether she was expecting to appear in Episode III. :(

Check out this cool auction on eBay from 'Dustincropsboy' for an "Aayla Secura, Zam Wessel & Aurra Sing" babydoll t-shirt.
Quite a cute shirt (only fit for smaller sized females however).

    Here's the babydoll t-shirt:

Here are Michonne Bourriague and Amy Allen wearing the shirt at Gen Con Indy:
