    there was always someone there when I was there, and I was there quite a bit

    actually, I was there talking to Jeremy Bulloch for like 15 minutes, same with Shannon McRandle

    but I would rather have been talking to Amy :(

    Aayla Secura is featured in the latest Star Wars 'Clone Wars' fan artwork by Dennis Budd. (Dennis Budd's fan artworks can be viewed at TheForce.Net Fan Art Museam.)

    CptCorranHorn, zuckuss1138, sorry to hear you didn't get to see Ms. Allen at GenCon. (Ms. Allen is slated to appear at this weekends Wizard World Chicago. Maybe some of you fans can have the chance to see/meet her there?)

    Rebelscum.com posted a photo gallery of the 11 Star Wars celebrity guests that C2 Ventures provided to attend last weekend's Wizard World Chicago Con.

    Here is their photo of Amy Allen (who portrayed Aayla Secura in Episode II) at the con:

    Here is Amy Allen flanked on the left by Leeanna Walsman (Zam Wesell - Episode II) and on the right by Michonne Bourriague (Aurra Sing - Episode I) and Shannon Baksa (Mara Jade):

    Will the legacy of blue Twi'lek Jedi Aayla Secura be carried on after the fall of the Republic and the demise of the Empire?

    Judging from the latest screenshot of the upcoming Lucasarts game "Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy", one would surely think so:

    Forcebewitya, cool that you were able to meet Ms. Allen and got your photo taken with her. I hope it was a great and memorable experience. :)

    Zuckuss1138, artist Jan Duursema created the artwork for "Star Wars: Jedi - Aayla Secura". She has done all the art for the "Jedi" comics and for most Star Wars ongoing and "Republic" comics issues featuring Aayla Secura. In fact, Jan Duursema co-created the character Aayla Secura with writer John Ostrander.

    Unfortunately -though understandably from a legal perspective- it is prohibited to repost any text and images from the Starwars.com Hyperspace Episode III Set Diary.
    This is a bit of a shame since the August 14 Diary entry boasts a picture of a Twi'lek custom figure made from the Leia Unleashed figure as a tribute to Aayla Secura. (The creator is none other than Matt Sloan who played Plo Koon in Episode II and Epsiode III as well as being a crew member on the 'droid' effects team.)

    So if you're a Starwars.com Hyperspace member and Aayla Secura fan, make sure to go check it out!

    Dark Horse "Star Wars: Jedi - Aayla Secura" with art by Jan Duursema and story by John Ostrander is scheduled for release tomorrow, August 20.

    A 48 pages one shot issue centering around blue Twi'lek Jedi Aayla Secura, this is the issue synopsis as on the Dark Horse Website:
    "Beautiful twi'lek Jedi Aayla Secura goes undercover to ferret out a Separatist enclave. But when her cover is blown, Aayla finds herself going up against famed bounty hunter (and infamous Jedi killer) Aurra Sing!"

    This is the awesome cover art created by Jan Duursema:

    Wow, haven't been here for a while but glad that GodofDeath has kept this Thread alive. Thanks, man! :)

    Well, I did manage to pick up a copy(barely) of Jedi-Aayla and must say it is an incredible Aayla story. Well worth the wait and delay. Don't know how Aurra fans will react to it but Aayla fans can---well you've got to see it to believe it.
    Jan Duursema and her inker Dan Parsons and colorist Brad Johnson have done a truly remarkable job. Writer John Ostrander, being the co-creator of Aayla has of course written a story that only he could write. He really points out the character's strong (and weak) points. Great to see how the other characters played out.
    I'm sure the scenes with Quinlan will be a highpoint...they're my favorite scenes!

    Get your copy now while you can.

    Oh, I picked up two copies

    the scenes between Aayla and Aurra were incredible

    and the emotions going on between Aayla and Quinlan were very strong

    Great you were able to get multiple copies and loved the book CaptCorranHorn.

    I actually had 2 copies held in advance at my regular shop during its Previews solicit but since they close up early when I knock off work I didn't want to wait until Saturday to pick them up...ya know the dealio! ;)

    I knew the book was going to sell well because of Aurra and Kit appearing but didn't expect it to fly off the shelves in my area. That's really great news.

    I got "Star Wars: Jedi - Aayla Secura" last Friday and it turned out to be unbelievable, so much better and beautiful than I had ever dreamt it would be! :eek:

    (I got my shift switched and had to juggle with workhours to be able to got and get it, with all those computer viruses the past weeks, work has been hectic! But I was determined to get this issue, come hell or high water! :p )

    The story by John Ostrander is excellent, the central Clone Wars story is good but it's the intelligent dialogue and intricate character depth/developement that combined with Jan's breathtaking artwork really takes this issue to the next level.
    I can't imagine any artist but Jan who could have brought such beauty and vivid pencils to bring these characters to life in all the panels and show their emotions and backgrounds so realistically and detailed the reader feels as if he were witnessing the events in reality.

    Great to see an issue focusing on Aayla Secura! :D I did also enjoy we got to get to see more of other characters like Tholme, Tra'saa, the Dark Woman, Aurra Sing and even Quinlan (through flashbacks).
    Aurra Sing looked frightening, so well rendered how her hate and anger showed. Luckily Aayla's elegant beauty offered such serenity in contrast. (A pilar of this issue was the paradoxal contrast between Aayla and Aurra despite such similar pasts. John and Jan really brought out all of the potential that theme had.)

    Devaron was interesting to discover, its unique fauna and flora, the fearsome Quarra beasts, the culture of the inhabitants (how women rule the society)...

    What struck me was the subtle differences and transition in both Aayla's and Quinlan's appearances/facial features throughout the different flashbacks compared to who they are at the current time. (Quinlan looks more worn, brooding through the years, his stubble and hair change. Aayla's faces becoming more defined, more feminin. Great detailing that speaks of Jan's incomparable skills.)

    This issue is just amazing, I love it! :D Great you guys were able to get copies as well. Surely with such an excellent comic that displays Aayla as such, her popularity can no doubt only rise compared to that of Aurra or Kit.

    On eBay watch for Aayla Secura related items, the great number of auctions for Hasbro 3 3/4" Aayla Secura action figures has visible dropped to but a few. (Perhaps related to the fact one of the latest production waves of the figures was cancelled by Hasbro making it even harder to find than before.)

    There were quite a few auctions for the new released Dark Horse "Star Wars: Jedi - Aayla Secura" comic book. :)

    Interesting was this auction for an Aayla Secura wall clock!

    [image=http://ebay1.ipixmedia.com/abc/M28/_EBAY_46fba8ae36df062c5bef6ad70d1d43b5/i-1.JPG]

    Always a nice time for Aayla, isn't it?! ;)

    There were also several auctions for Aayla Secura 3 3/4" action figure protoypes as you can see in the pictures below. Whether these are authentic from Hasbro is hard to say.

    [image=http://www.takewhole.com/eBay/swaayla01.jpg]

    [image=http://www.takewhole.com/eBay/swaayla02.jpg]

    As always there's several autographed items for sale as well as the rare TCG Aayla Secure Sith rising card.

    Nice looking clock and the protoype(s) are a definite must-grab! But I must...resist...the temptation of obtaining another...credit card :p

    Over at the Fan Art Thread, BalinakaBaroness was nice enough to draw a quick sweet-looking Aayla sketch. ;) Thanks, Bar!
