I think I think most of Aayla when I hear "Halo" by Texas. :)

Besides that song, I'll have to think about it.

Here's an excerpt of some of the chorus lyrics of "Halo" by Texas. (Which most apply to Aayla I feel.)

    "We all love her
    To that we confess

    She has a halo
    We really do adore her
    For she has a halo
    Can we touch her

    She believes in everything
She believes in nothing, in everything
    She believes in everything
She believes in nothing, in everything

    For she has a halo
    She has a halo"

(The rest of the lyrics seemingly do not apply to Aayla at all but can if you interpret them very freely and very philosophically.)

Well, John Ostrander just informed us over at his boards that the OS has released info about the "new project" he and Jan are working on: Its "Star Wars:Jedi" and the first four issues are already done. Each are self-contained stories like one-shots. Really looking forward to a planned Aayla vs Aurra because it'd be the first all-Aayla book ever!!

    1) I'm a slaaaaave 4 you ... :p

    2) Sounds nice. The bioweapons on a moon of Naboo. 'Dark' Jedi. And hopefully Aayla.

    3) And BTW : is Twilight the first comic with Aayla and Quinlan?
And is it between EpI and II?
Because I read that Quinlan was searching for this glyteryll at Tatooine in EpI.

Heart of fire is first comic with aayla and quin but that was in a free dark horse extra.
So twilight is second. and yes it takes place between 1 and 2.

Songs for fun: "King of Wishful Thinking" from Pretty Woman soundtrack. Forgot the band/singer. "She's So High" by (Kyle?)Bachman. oh , yeah "Ready to Go" by Republika.

Jan Duursema did a great job designing the undercover costumes for Quin and especially Aayla for the upcoming SW#49. Be nice to have them made into EU figures!

Apophis, 'Slave 4 u'? That more describes us towards Aayla! ;) :p

Kampilan, looking forward to seeing that art by Jan in Star Wars Republic #49! :)

"Ready to Go" by Republica? Dude, I have that on CD, awesome track! Not entirely sure how it relates to Aayla in your opinion though. Care to elaborate and all? I'm interested. :)

Ah, "Ready to Go" isn't really about Aayla but it makes for a cool video of Aayla kicking butt in the comics and AOTC Geonosis Arena Battle scenes. I can see Aayla vs Aurra with that song...too weird? :D

I got the new Del Rey Mythmaking AOTC book and its got a cool enlarged stylized Aayla promo pic on pg 161 and I quote the caption: "Lucas based the look of one of the arena Jedi on a Twi'lek named Aayla Secura (Amy Allen), who orignally appeared in a Dark Horse Star Wars comic." ;)

Pg. 163 has the photo of her kicking a Super Battledroid. Wow, I can see Amy/Aayla clenching her teeth! Pg.167 has her being rounded up in the Arena survivors circle. pg. 151 has the balcony with Ki still photo but hasn't panned to Aayla yet so she is cut off.

That's it. No mention of the deleted Raid scene either. Aayla Secura Amy Allen is not mentioned in the cast list ;no special treatment but...
Amy Allen is listed (alphabeticaly first  )in end credits under ILM : Visual Effects Production and Technical Support! For those of you who have the DVD already, wait near the END of the LONG ILM section.

Kampilan, thanks for the heads up on that.

You actually see Aayla kicking that SuperBattledroid in the scene where she's seen behind the 'Ha' Jedi. Very impressive move! (I wonder if Ms. Allen does any combat sports or such?) :)
    Very cool.

    Nuhuh! :p

Actually I just watched the DVD 4 times the past weekend and viewed the Geonosis Arena Battle twice entirely in slow motion to pick out all the details and scenes with Aayla. :) Then today I just wrote that all out from memory.
    (Ok, so I don't have a life! :p j/k)

Does anyone possibly have any update on the release of the autograph chase cards for the Topps "Episode II Widevision" cards that was announced here at starwars.com for November?

Among the autographed chase cards for the Topps "Episode II Widevision" card set there is a scheduled Aayla Secura/Amy Allen autographed card (limited to 5000) according to the list from starwars.com. If this card is released, and the signing by Ms. Allen goes through then it will surely be a great collectors item. (Though since they will be sold in packs the risk is that they might be rather hard to acquire.)

Yes, we all missed ya, Biohazard!

AgentSmith, sorry but I haven't seen any samples of the Aayla/Amy Allen widevision card yet. I do hope its confirmed and look forawrd to getting one(or Threee!!) The cards come out soon so I better start saving my pennies... :p

I read that the Clone Wars Animated Series on Cartoon Network is done in CGI...that's cool I guess. I was looking forward to a more traditional cel-like look but this is George Lucas we are talking about so of course we got to go with the latest and the greatest in technology and stuff. CGI is cool but its also too "video-gamey" like unless the lighting is great like in "Cubix" or "Max Steele". Most CGI cartoons are too dark. I loved "Reboot" but it got too dark and moody for me.

Biohazard, good to see you again. :)

Kampilan, yes I gather I best start saving up fo rthe Aayla/Amy Topps signed Widevision card as well.
Though I guess better luck might be to find one seperately sold on eBay instead of raiding stores and buying packs with a lot of cards in it except the Aayla/Amy one! :p

I read that "Clone Wars" cartoon story on theforce.net, I thought they did say the 'solicitation' episode that was presented to the Cartoon Network was in-house by ILM and hence in CG. So it still could be an non-CG cartoon in the end, though knowing George Lucas chances are it will be CG. But I wouldn't worry because he usually demands the best and perfection, so either CG or not, it should be a state of the art and visually well done cartoon if it is to meet his approval. :)

Hopefully Aayla will feature in the cartoon. I wonder if they'd approach Jan and/or Amy for reference or info/aid? :)

Yeah, I normally buy a couple of packs just for fun and then wait a week or two and ask the store if they have any individual chase cards up for sale. If they offer them as sets I won't bother. Yes, there's always eBay for individual cards although I have never bought anything from eBay yet!

That would be great if Jan and John were asked by Lucasfilm for info on Aayla but I think Lucasfilm already has the info and visual refs they need. Aayla would most likely be a minor character with some speaking roles but not be focused on too much...unless fans like us speak up and request more Aayla input to the stories. If there are enough demands from the public I won't see any prob with more Aayla.

Hey, that'd be just awesome if they had Amy Allen do the voice of Aayla. Who better than the actual person that portrayed Aayla?!
