Hello, I'm Doom Trooper. A couple of weeks or so ago I updated my account with a new e-mail address and was sent a verification code to my e-mail, but I never received it. I sent it numerous time over and over but still never got it. This is so frustrating. I even contacted the staff and never heard back. Is it possible if my accounts can be merged, or at least if my first account can be verified without having to send anything to e-mail? Had I known I would've never updated my e-mail in the first place. Thanks in advanced.
I am sorry that you are experiencing this issue. Given the timeline you describe, this issue unfortunately seems to have arose during the period when our tech wizard and former Tech Admin was in hospital and then tragically passed away. See the announcement post from Chorus here for full details. I looked at your Doom Trooper account, and it seems that your new email address is a gmail account. Sometimes gmail accounts seem to have issues receiving verification codes. I suspect that is what occurred in your situation. I have marked your Doom Trooper account as valid in the system so you should be good to go now. You may keep your Doom Trooper 2 account as a second or sock account if you wish. This was timely information, as I couldn't get a verification code for this new account and it was through Gmail. Switched to a work email and got the verification link! I'd like to recover my old account (jedi_master_ousley) but I believe the email for it is a Gmail as well (or an old university account that's not been active in ~10 years) but either way I can't get a reset link. If this is something easily fixed, let me know what info is needed. But I see that you're quite busy due to unfortunate circumstances, so if it's something complicated or time consuming, don't worry about it, I'll just use this one.
If you would prefer to get back into your prior account, you can always pm @devilinthedetails or myself with a new email address. We will then change your password and email address in the original account and reply with the new password. Once you are in, just change the password to something else for security purposes.
