Well, in the commentary, RJ says that Finn and Rose almost going straight over the cliff at the end of the fathier chase is a nod to the "Look out. CLIFF!" bit from the show. Spoiler: Young Ones last scene
I was watching TLJ today and wondered whether or not Peavey survives the destruction of the Supremacy. Both he and Hux were on the bridge so if Hux survived I don't see any reason why Peavey couldn't as well. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think we see him again in the film but that doesn't mean he's dead. I hope he's alive because I'd like to see another First Order officer make it to IX other than Hux. I had another thought about him. Could he be how the Resistance found out that Starkiller Base was targeting them? Could he be a spy? We know from the Visual Dictionary he really doesn't like General Hux. Not that we really need to know how the Resistance found out but I think it could be interesting.
I believe he’s on Crait on board the heavy gorilla AT-AT when Kylo Force shoves Hux over and the other guy says “Right away, Sir.
Actually, yeah, that makes more sense now that you say it. I think I was so accustomed to looking up at the Walkers that the reverse shots feel like them looking back down but you're right. The shuttle is just hovering at a similar height and lands.
Is he even there in the shot where Kylo pushes Hux away? He's there in the previous shot standing next to Hux, but I think he's missing from that shot. Continuity error?
This guy was pretty good now that you mention it. I'd only noticed the commander of the dreadnought. I thought that guy could've been an awesome character. Then he died.
Peavy is definitely one of the highlights in TLJ for me! Thank you, RJ, for bringing him to my attention I think he actually was an awesome character. Who died.
I really enjoyed him as a secondary character in TLJ. I hope he makes an appearance in IX. If he does, that would make him have more parallels to Piett.
I really liked Peavy and the captain of the dreadnought, they showed a lot of personality with a little screen time, and both seem like capable officers (not always the case with the Empire or FO).
This guy was awesome. Definitely had the whole "I came up through the ranks the hard way in the tail-end of the Palps/Vader days" gravitas to him. Hopefully Grant's character is something like that this next time around, maybe a bit more important and with more screentime but fulfilling that old-guard type of role contrasting with Ben's/Hux's generation. The serious adult in the room like Peavey.
In my head canon, Vyvyan and Peavey are some sort of parallel universe versions of the same character.
I was just waiting for him to announce that the situation required a special blend of psychology and extreme violence.
