9/10, best episode so far. That was such a great lightsabre fight between Ahsoka and Baylan. You could feel the weight in his sabre, the strength it was taking to wield it around. Well choreographed.

Well the first scene doesn't show what I described. It shows a lore and canon breaking idiotic scene, which actually showed a collision between a ship in hyperspace and ships in regular space. Nice visuals won't save it, or that movie in general.

The second GIF I admit I do not remember, but it's of the same logic yes, the energy surge cause a mayhem in that hangar. I like that, it's also Hera's jump, which is quite poetic to think that she was the recipient of such an energy release in last week's episode.

This takes place after the OT and the republic's victory in the galactic civil war.

The whole galaxy probably knows who Vader was by now.

It's like a lot of historical facts we take for granted now that were unknown when they actually happened.

I will just say, the hyperspace jump we saw in Ep5 does not validate/support the theory of the Holdo Maneuver and its implications. It’s likely that there was some kind of gas release or exhaust or something left by Eye of Scion immediately before its jump, which messed up the X-wings

Not according to official canon. In canon the galaxy doesn't find out about Vader's identity until shortly before TFA. It's a major plot point in the novel Bloodline and leads directly to Leia being pushed out of the senate due to her being Vader's daughter, and forming the Resistance.

When Baylan is sitting there with his hood covering his face, right before he says “Anakin spoke very highly of you,” I’m quite sure he’s reading her mind. Just as he does later, more obviously, with Sabine.

You don't think Ahsoka would keep him out of her mind? Or at least try to?

There's a handful of high ranking Imperials who officially didn't know but still knew/guessed that Vader was Anakin: Thrawn, Tarkin, Reva Sevander... Yularen?
It's not a huge deal if Baylan knew before he met Ahsoka. Its implied that he at least met Anakin back in the day. Did he know him well enough to realize who Vader was on his own? Did/does he know someone else who knew?
    Good questions for another episode.

We’ll see. It’s ambiguous at the moment.

There is absolutely no reason why Baylan Skoll couldn't have know Vader's true identity, if he is a Jedi survivor.

He doesn't need to read Ahsoka's mind for that. Plus, he is delivering the line "few would live to see what he became" so calmly and casually, that he has definitely processed this information since a very long time ago. If this was the first time he realized that Vader was Anakin, it would be a huge shock for him.

It looked more like a shock wave/sonic boom that was sent out as part of the Eye of Sion transitioning from real space to hyperspace.

If Anakin doesn't explain to Ahsoka how he knows Baylan in Ep 5 tonight I'm sure we will get a TotJ episode that features Anakin and Baylan together. In fact, even if he does say how he knows Baylan tonight we will probably get a Baylan/Anakin TotJ episode anyway.

    Note, I said "relatively new".

While Clone Wars and Rebels are popular amongst fans, I'd argue that these shows aren't as mainstream as the films or even the Disney+ live action shows.

Also, let's not underestimate the impact of Ahsoka moving from animation to live action....this is her moment in the spotlight.

For many, (even hardcore fans) this show (and Mando) are their first experience with Ahsoka.

Thus, I stand by my original sentiment: Unlike Obi-Wan, Boba Fett, Luke SKywalker, etc... most fans have not spent multiple decades dreaming, pondering, reading, about Ahsoka. Again, she's a relatively new character....unless you are a teenager or younger.

Before the next episode drops, I did want to give this one it's props, because I thoroughly enjoyed it despite having relatively low expectations for this show, as I have mixed feelings at best about all of the following:
    -Rebels as a show
    -Ahsoka as a character
    -Disney Canon post ROTJ
-Disney+'s original Live-Action Star Wars shows as a collective prior to this point
-Thrawn as a character (although this one is a little more tenuous as I never personally read the original Thrawn trilogy, just heard summaries)

On top of that when the trailer first came out I practically rolled my eyes when I saw our new antagonists, as "fallen Jedi" has been done to death at this point and rarely very well imo. It seemed to invite a very paint-by-numbers storyline, and not one that I thought fit well with the existing situation in-universe. Now he we are and I think Baylin and Shin are my 2 favorite characters in the show so far, and I gasped and got excited at a surprise WBW appearance.

    Speaking of which
As a viewer I didn't really consider this because I've seen enough shows to know that there's no possible way that's how the main character dies, but what I didn't consider before knowing the end of the episode is that it's possible that fall actually did kill her but she still comes back, or at the very least it wasn't luck or her own considerable powers that saved her, but something akin to the universe itself stepping in, in which case you can forgive Sabine for not taking the possibility that she is still alive more seriously. In these circumstances you can see why she would feel both less beholden to follow Ahsoka's orders and more desperate to get Ezra back, as she has so few friends left.

I have no clue what this means, but I’m inclined to like the post anyway.
