Full Series Ahsoka in Rebels

Discussion in 'Star Wars TV- Completed Shows' started by Darth Valkyrus, Nov 6, 2013.

?

What should Ahsoka be like if she turns up in Rebels?

  1. Like she was before the S3 timeskip. Snippy, impulsive, petulant, a little over-agressive

  2. Like she was post-timeskip: Mature for her age, insightful, reserved, able to mentor others

So when are we getting the Rexsoka episode? They can do a double date with Kanera. The bantz would be incredible.

They haven't really had a "Kanhera" episode yet, so why expect a Rexsoka episode anytime soon?

You can't just show the OTP outright. You have to tease the viewers and keep them guessing right until the series finale. Then you have the confession / wedding scenes and everyone on Tumblr gushes over it for the next year.

You can, however, milk the hell out of other romances with side characters.

If those side characters (especially Ahsoka) average about 1.5 minutes per episode in a given season, there's hardly much time to "milk" anything.

Well we don't know much about how often she will actually be showing up, they haven't been very specific. But there's no reason why they can't use that limited screentime to advance her relationship with her old friend Rex.

I think she has more important things to do than to get "physical" with Rex; of whom there was absolutely no hint of a relationship while they fought side by side in the Clone Wars. To this day, I don't really know where all this notion came from.

Ah KT loved either hinting at a jedi/clone relationship or outright having it.

It was TCW’s The Blue Shadow Virus episode that started my thought process on the Rexoka ship.

I'll have to watch that episode (or the full arc) again to remind myself about it. I don't remember Ahsoka ever getting too close with Rex, or any other clone for that matter.

You had to read between the lines. Think of it this way- you're a teenage girl. You've just set foot into this epic war alongside all your fellow Jedi, and you meet the clones. They're these super-awesome foot soldiers who manage to regularly keep up with you and your fellow mystic warrior monk buddies. So naturally you have a ton of respect and admiration for them.

Then imagine there's this one über soldier who's assigned to you. He ranks under you, but you still defer to his wisdom and experience, and he gives you all sorts of useful advice for fighting a war. If I were this impressionable teenage girl, I'd def have a huge crush on this guy.

And then imagine after a few years of fighting with this super awesome guy, you don't see him for another 15 years. You're a full-fledged adult woman; suddenly your precocious crush can be a whole lot more. And it helps that he's aged pretty well for a test-tube dude.

What does Rex say when he sees Ahsoka? "You got old." As in, "yeah, I'd totally hit that now". Sparks are flying, A's T; best to let things pan out the way they're meant to. ;)

Yeah I remember the novels quite well. Venku springs to mind.

I'm neutral on the matter. If it happens it happens.

No matter what anyone says, Ahsoka still looks like she could be Rex's daughter (if he had one).

It was more Rex then Ahsoka. The way he caught her when she passed out. Sure you could say it was just a friendly thing but….

You also have to look at the fact there she is like 32 and he is like... 50ish? Actually he would only be 27 without the accelerated aging... but yea... it is a tad weird, but maybe not so much in context they are both grown adults now.

They're both old souls.... I do think that there will be a confession of timeless love as Rex lays dying in Ahsoka's arms after they confront Vader at the end of Season 2 (reminiscent of this shot)

Rex's death triggers the Darkness that was born inside of her whilst at Anakin's side. Dark Ahsoka rises and faces Vader igniting the white blades of her lightsabers, "For Rex, for the Jedi, for Padme"...

Wouldn't be the first time a version of "Dark Ahsoka" faced...well a version of Vader.

    You kid, but yes.

No Prisoners did have Ahsoka with a huge crush on Rex (which hilariously he is totally oblivious to) plus their canon relationship full of trust, love and respect- which was more apparent in the first two seasons of TCW and the supplamentary material, but still touched on with Rex defending her against Tarkin and Fox.(And hopefully the unaired finale arc)

    Then the hug[face_love]

    So, yeah... I ship it.

As far as Rex and Ahsoka I've always thought of their relationship more like big brother/little sister than anything else. I fully expect to see Lux at some point in Rebels due to the rebel cell on Onderon during TCW and I would not be surprised to see a storyline touching on his relationship with Ahsoka. The saga is kind of fond of action packed love stories after all...

Even if I didn't ship Rexsoka, Lux can go die in a hole.

And Luxsoka is just awful, I don't need that rehashed again.

Lux ***** he was the worst person ever and he only slightly improved during Onderon.

I mean the clone relation ship goes both ways, meaning it has been weird from both the non clone end and the clone end.
For instance if were looking at this biologically then Darman was 11 when he fell in love with Etaine
Cut Lawquane was 11 once again when he married a 20-30 something year old.

But if we look at it as there age they look then Rexsoka is a bit weird, but their all over 18 so if George Lucas, can do it why can't Rex?(just for people who don't know George is 70 while his wife is in her early 40s they also had a kid like two years ago) just saying it happens in the real world, and as long as they are both over 18 I don't find any problem with it.
