On Amazon.ca the hardcover of Ahsoka is like $10 less than Bloodline, Lost Stars was cheaper too, I think it's because they're YA.
According to Amazon the Ahsoka novel is 400 pages, Life Debt is 448, and Bloodline 352. So looks like page count doesn’t really make a difference in that regard. Just an FYI friend: you’ll save a few bucks if you preorder the hardcover from amazon compared to the kindle version.
I'd like to preorder the book when I see the updated cover and price there. You know how Amazon sometimes gets with premature listings on certain products. You don't know for sure how much the book will be until it gets closer to the release date. I'd check Barnes and Noble to know the MSRP for sure.
I hope the Ahsoka novel doesn't show ANY of the order 66 stuff talked about in the panel because then we'd NEVER get to see it animated
And Pablo did say the novel would reveal more Untold TCW Story info than the entire panel itself. So I'm hyped
Yeah watching the Ahsoka panel Friday he and Pablo did say that E.K Johnston had asked about that while writing the novel. So even though we didn't see those episodes, looks like they will be brought into Canon via the Novel. At least portions of it anyway.
Hopefully we still see those episodes eventually. I feel like TCW doesn't have a satisfying conclusion. Another two miniseries or one more novel would do a lot to wrap everything up. Or even more story reels. I'd really like so see the lead into ROTS play out. From what I've heardone it would have been exciting.
Well I've had arguments in the TV forums over Ahsoka's place in the current era; and I've always suggested that if TCW were allowed to continue as it was meant to, Filoni and company would've had a proper fate for her around the time of ROTS. But Disney took over and scratched that idea, and the rest as they say, is history.
You remember me saying in the T.V forum that I was pretty much content with her having a heroic death against Vader at the end of season 2. If I am not mistaken I think you also said you were okay with that? But since it was decided that wasn't going to happen and watching all the backlash because of it, I am even more steadfast in her showing up Post ROTJ. I think it will happen sooner than we all think. At least I hope so.
Well there are others suggesting that the panel was pointing to her being already dead, and walking into some pool to redeem herself spiritually. I guess we'll see.
I wouldn’t mind Ahsoka getting a heroic death in Rogue One in a rematch against Vader while buy the others time to escape.
Do we know when exactly this novel takes place? By that I mean something more specific than "between ROTS and the Rebels S1 finale".
Something tells me that the inclusion of that animatic from the 1313 arc, and the introduction of Nix during the panel is significant toward what this book will be about. Nix will probably factor into the plot. Ashoka may go back to him post-Order 66, and take up the life of a smuggler for a few years. Edit: Which, I just realized, would totally make her the new canon version of my favorite Jedi, Das Jennir
Looks like the book will pick up right before ROTS and Order 66. I think the early part will deal with the Siege of Mandalore.
Everyone make sure to spoiler me senseless. Yoiks and away! I gravitate towards spoilers like a black hole. It is inevitable that I finds all the things.
I think I'll be avoiding this thread as soon as the book is released, until I read and finish it myself.
I've found a passage on tumblr: Spoiler "Ashla" is Ahsoka. So glad that it looks like we're continuing the tradition of Ahsoka's Girl of the Week. Barriss, Riyo, Kalifa, Togruta Citizen Number Six, Tryla, Steela, and now Kaeden!
