Fanclub Aliit ori'shya tal'din: The Mandalorian Fanclub

Re-sharing again. I thought I was re-active prior to this call. *Sniffs* But if you wish, here it be. Something I still need to try to draw again.

Dha’tra’s Armor: is full Mandalorian Combat Armor: Helmet, floating neck guard, shoulder, bicep, forearm, gauntlet, chest, segmented back }}}}}}, segmented abdomen ((((, cod piece, enclosed thigh, knee, shin, and boot armored pieces with armor weave kama. Color scheme is matte black with dull grey secondary color and orange accents. Armor plates are made with a phrink plated carbon-ceramic pieces over a reinforced body glove. It is resistant to heat, cold, and energy damage and is fully sealed for vacuum operations with a six hour reserve. No jetpack (Gotta admit, I am deeply reconsidering the no jetpack now that we have the TV show. It is starting to sway me.). Left hand crush gauntlet and forearm retractable magnetized bracer blades (ala Jango Fett), right hand stun glove and mirror forearm bracer blade with grapple launcher. Small armored back pack with ammo, grenade, and lightsaber forced dispensers to push the queued objects through ejector slots (grenade upper side, ammo middle – lower side, lightsaber under corners) out and away to the waiting hand when an internal command is given from suits bucce (helmet). Uses rocket boots (ala Cade Bane) for minor assists. Electro Vibro-daggers in locked in shin guards. Split side comm antennae on left and range finder on right side of bucce with T-visor.

 

I've come to the realization I have yet to make my own character sheet, neither here or over at the EU club. I shall correct this grieves error to my House Saxon.

Backstory: Raised on Mandalore by his clan, Ordo, and brought up on the traditions of the Mandalore. Little is known of him outside of his clan and birthplace, besides his complete allegiance to House Saxon. Seen in battle with the Death Watch who pledged themselves to Darth Maul and later arrested alongside Gar Saxon after the Siege of Mandalore. Later seen working with Gar Saxon on securing Mandalore for the Empire, though he seemed to part ways with Gar. Over disagreements on how to handle the Mandalorian Protectors from Concord Dawn. After this, the Mandalorian has been seen working for many crime organizations as a bounty hunter, assassin and on rare occasions as a bodyguard. Such foul folk Ordo has been know to work with includes the Hutts, Black Sun, Zann Consortium, Crimson Dawn and the Pikes. Last seen joining with Boba Fett in restoring Mandalore and helping fight the approaching Yuuzhan Vong.
Weapons: Mandalorian Heavy Repeater, Mandalorian vambraces, DE-10 blaster pistol and Whistling Birds.
Vehicle: Old pre-Clone Wars True Mandalorian gunship.

 

@Chancellor Yoda Vod Saxon! At last another Saxon Brother. I see your name is Jaster, mine is Kaster Mereel. I based mine off of Jaster Mereel who as you probably know took Jango as his Ward and taught him everything he knew.

I picked that name years ago when I first joined the club, specifically the EU club. A rather on the nose name, but I still love the Open Seasons comic ministries so I decided not to change it.

Long live the man and his legacy, Jaster Mereel.

We have a set of words for this week.

aruetii [ah-roo-AY-tee] traitor, foreigner, outsider
aruetiise [ah-roo-ay-TEE-say] traitors, foreigners, outsiders
Singular and Plural

But what makes you an outsider, a traitor, or a foreigner?

One House could point to another as a traitor. Jango and Boba Fett were never truly accepted as Mandalorians, so they could be seen as outsiders. Din Djarin was a foreigner who was rescued by Death Watch, so he was technically a foreigner who was adopted into the Mandalorians.

What say you, vode?

 

I imagine most mandoade would use those words for most dar'manda. I imagine members of the Nite Owls would also refer to followers of Darth Maul in this way.

dar'manda [dar-MAHN-da] a state of not being Mandalorian - not an outsider, but one who has lost his heritage, and so his identity and his soul - regarded with absolute dread by most traditionally-minded Mando'ade

 

aruetiise could refer to individuals who are just....not Mandalorian

Query my Vod, woukd a Mandalorian becoming a Jedi or Sith constitute being a aruetii? Can one walk The Way and The Jedi Path or Sith Path? Are bot the Jedi sworn enemies of Mandos?

That would be a question for each House and Clan and our Mand'alor.

 

I think as we've seen in the Manbdalorian, there are various degrees of what can be considered Mandalorian, and what one Mandalorian might call heeding the creed is not what another would consider the same. It seems however that Tarre Vizsla was still considered both Mandalorian and Jedi, so the two are not mutually exclusive.

 

Do you think Din will embrace the Jedi Path and keep to the Way? He hasn’t shown any Force Sensitivity, but his bibd with Grogu is strong.

 

Mando will stick with the way of the Mandalore, but that doesn't exempt an alliance with the Jedi. Bo Katan accepted such as did Sabine Wren, two holders of the darksaber. I see no reason he should disagree with their stance there. Though whether he disagrees with Bo going forward we will have to see...

 

I imagine a jedi mandalorian would be accepted, as we do accept Tarre Vizla as one of us and our people have fought alongside jedi many times recently, such as in the siege of mandalore and the fight against the empire on mandalore.

I'm not sure what the reaction to a mandalorian sith would be though, but i imagine it wouldn't be good.
