All time favorite battle in the Star Wars Universe?

I'm not sure if this has been discussed, but what is your all time favorite battle? Hoth and Geonosis are my favorite. The reason I picked Hoth was because it finally showed the Empire at its best. And Geonosis was awesome 'cause you got to see all the Jedi and clones battle.

 

Battle of Endor, thats including the battle in space on the ground, and Luke's battle. That one rocked.

 

Luke Vs Vader in ESB.

The begining when vader is standing in the smoky dark blue light and says "The force is with you young Skywalker, but you are not a Jedi yet" gives me goosebumps. Its so beatifull , best scene ever.

 

The Battle of Endor....for now. Maybe there will be a battle in ROTS that will knock it down.

The space battle in Episode III could become my new favorite, however...

 

Duel of the Fates. Best battle/fight scene ever. (At least until ROTS).

 

Geonosis Tho I wish it was longer.
Attack on Death Star 1 is my 2nd fav.

Geonosis for the battle, and DOTF for the best duel... Episode III better have some great stuff to top these

Endor, with Hoth a close second. I just love the scale of Endor.

 

Endor, space and ground.

 

Space: Endor for the movies, Coruscant (SbS) or Borleias (EL) in the EU.
Duel: ESB for the movies, with probably Vastor-Mace in Shatterpoint for the EU.
Ground: Hoth for the movies, Dantooine or Muunlinst (CWC) for the EU.

All time short fight or battle you could call it, when Han,Luke,Chewie and Leia are trapped in detention center hallway.

 

Space: Falcon vs. Empire through the Asteroids
Ground: Clones vs. Droids
Saber: Maul vs. Kenobi

Geonosis, Duel Of The Fates and The death star 1 battle
I would say the battle of endor but the ewoks done it in for me.

 

My favorite large scale battle is Endor although the Battle of Courescant in ROTS may change that. As for single combat, I think the Maul/Jinn/Kenobi and the Yoda/Dooku Jedi duels are tied for reasons of sheer coolness. Although again the Anakin/Obi-wan duel may change that next May.

Movies: ROTJ duel... it has everything from emotional content to good vs. evil to father vs. son. This was a battle that I totally got sucked into.

EU: Battle for Coruscant(TUF), Luke takes the helm and kicks ***, Jaina gets her clock cleaned, and we find out Onimi is the puppeteer.

Space: Yavin
The conversations between the pilots is extremely cool. "This is Red 5, I'm going in",
"Lock X-Foils in attack position",
"Look at the size of that thing, cut the chatter Red 2" etc. etc.



Lightsaber Fights: Luke vs. Vader in Cloud City and in the Throne Room.
Very cool dialogue indeed. The fact that it is father against son doesn't make it less intense.



Ground Battle: hmmmmm.. gotta go with Hoth.
General Veers kicks some serious rebel ass. That guy is is one of the meanest and most efficient Imperial Officers ever.
