Lol I had a weird dream last night that I was watching Jedi at this guys house and it had a weird ending......

When Palpatine is killing Luke with the lightening, Vader picks Palps up and throws him across the room.

Luke shouts "Father!" and Vader turns to Luke and says "You must escape Luke before its too Late....Its time for me to complete my destiny"

The Emperor then gets up and pulls out his lightsabre as Luke flees to the shuttle. Vader then uses the force to pick up Lukes green sabre and Vader and the Emperor duel as Luke escapes. Vader blocks Palpatines Lightening with his sabre and Vader gets the upper hand as the Death Star crubbles around them.

As the Luke flies away the Death Star explodes with Vader and The Emperor still inside.....

Thats a typical reaction from the jerks on these boards. I saw a post before about them mostly being from 30 year olds livings in their mothers basements, I agreed 100%.

It a better topic then most on this board, better then being turned on by a Leia nipple slip topic.

Feel free to discuss this alternate ending to Return of the Jedi

    Coincidentally

    I had a dream i was a salad!

And, and, and one of the sammiches was slave Leia, and the other was rainbowdress-Padme!

    And then...

...hmmm not really a coincidence now that i think about it

...So Vader still threw Palpy?, how did Palpy react when he fell?

If I could edit my dream for a special edition version.......

He would say *evil laugh* "Lord Vader.........you have betrayed me and for that you will be punished"......

Vader: "Darth Vader no longer exists......."

Palpatine turns on his sabre and Anakin uses the force to brink Lukes sabre to him

Anakin: *Says something about now being Anakin Skywalker*

That sounds pretty cool actually Manchester_City-X, but I would make it so that the ending is pretty much the same, but with your lightsaber thing between "Father...Please" and Vader throwing Palpatine down the shaft - perhaps summoning Luke's saber and holding it to Palpatine's throat to get him to stand down. Short duel...blah blah...Vader wins...breathing apparatus still busts up though.

I think having Vader fighting while Luke escapes wouldn't be as good, because we just *need* the unmaking scene.

I wish I had dreams like yours, the last Star Wars-related dream I can remember was me going for a walk and stumbling across Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen filming The Duel on location at the volcano down the road (hmmm, I'm sure that volcano wasn't there last time I checked).

And I agree about some of the messages posted here - this place is becoming more like the 3SA everyday :(

Wow, I wish my dreams were that linear. In the last SW dream I had, I was commanding an SD and we were shooting at another SD, which was made of rubber. It tied itself into a knot and the dream ended. [face_thinking]

I like that alternative ending, but I think the one in the movie was better mainly because of the Vader/Luke scene in the hanger.

    Ciao!

On a serious note I would like to have seen Luke turn so we spawn an episode VII.

But what if Palpatine would have pulled a Will Ferrel from Austin Powers and yelled from the shaft "Hello, I am injured very, very badly. I need medical attention. The bone is going through the skin..."

Average ending that could use some tweaking. However an interesting premise. Make a few changes and you got an ending to rival the real one.

Wow, Ok I got woken from a dream this morning by my mobile ringing.

Thing is, in my dream i was in a cinema about to watch EP3, and my phone rang just as the opening crawl started.

My friend was confused by my sleepy voice telling him off for his mobile ringing during a Star Wars flick...

That is a cool dream Manchester_City-X (P.S You were lucky against Chelsea lol j/k). I sometimes have dreams about Star Wars, this one dream I had, involved me at my old school, having an argument with Vader about putting Han in carbonite! lol happened at the bottom of the stairs in the English department. Also I showed my girlfriend Star Wars for the first time about a year ago, that night she was talking in her sleep "blah blah death star" then she woke up in the middle of the night, saying she had a dream about the monsters in the cantina chasing her! lmao

I'd have enjoyed seeing Luke thrown down the shaft instead of Palpatine :p

Palpatine zapping Luke, Vader pushes Palpy aside and lifts up Luke and says
    "This is taking too long"
    "Father please"
"You never were a bright boy :p"

    Throws Luke down shaft

    OR

Luke cuts off Vaders head instead of his arm and joins Sidious... then Deathstar blows up.
It would also be cool if Luke broke the window behind Palpy's throne and they all get sucked out into space.
    :D

Was your Star Destroyer made of glue....and whenever you fired your weapons...it bounced off him and stuck to you?

I think I am actually one of the few that likes to hear other people's dream.

Manchester- your dream sounds very vivid and it makes sense, unlike a lot of dreams. The thing that I liked was that Palpatine was involved in the duel.

I once dreamt that I went to George's ranch and in this courtyard he showed me these two velociraptors. They were alive and life size- but they were CGI!

Palpatine dueling with Vader as the Death Star blows up IS a cool ending, the question is how important do people think it was when Luke removed Vader's helmet to look upon his fathers face......because obviously that would have been lost.

I like your ending. I wish it would have ended that way, with Luke's saber being parried by Vader's and then Vader says, "Son, I am sorry. Thius foolishnes has gone on long enough. Old man, get up........"
