That a ridiculous price, even with it being a holiday weekend... Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
I knew prices would be higher with the combination of big event and holiday weekend but that's crazy! I hate to imagine what the connected hotels are if you book direct.
This is what I would be paying If I booked direct now with mt dates... Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
Got a back up at the Castle Inn and Suites for the 5/30 to 6/3 in case I don't get those dates added in the hotel block. It was only $3 more a night and I'll be across the street from Disney so its win/win either way.
I know how excited you are to stay in a luxury hotel for the first time. "Luxury" meaning a roof and a mattress.
Given I might have to swim across at this rate (it counts as out of the UK, right?) a roof and mattress sound good.
Is there a possibility that rooms will open up later with all the days required for Cele,+? I usually arrive the day before and leave the day after. When the hotel block opened up and after we could not get anything after less than 5 minutes, we looked for hotels out the "convenience zone" 5 miles or more away from the Con. center. I found mine, for 6 days at $614 for the whole thing, and it's a good chain. this was done within a half hour after things closed up on the housing site. The prices are ridiculous and unreal elsewhere, but, that's what you get for that time of the year I guess.
Are the prices still high? I would've loved to get a room at the Marriot like last time, so close! but not at a ridiculous price, I will, however, call and compare-just in case.
Ugh, I just called the Marriot there at the con. center, they said they had 1 single room available for the duration I asked for, they said with taxes and fees, it would be$1000 a night! I think I will have to stay at the Hampton Inn. the person I spoke to said the hike in price was due to the time of year. Memorial Day and summer. They did say there was a Days Inn within 5 miles of the Con. center for a single room, for 6 days at $620.
Just keep checking the official block as much as you can. Eventually there will be cancellations and you might get a shot at the closer hotels. It happened that way in Chicago.
