Anakin braid...or no braid

anakins_padawan13, I read in the EU girls did have braids...I sincerly hope this is false

I still don't get what the point of the braid is...why not just have the short haircut and call it a day?

Not to mention the dreaded ponytail yuck!

 

It's so yoda has something to grab onto when he can't keep up.

Same here Mrs_Anakin...I like the braid...but the hair...mane hehe is just the kind of hair you just want to tug on.

And people were talking about rank and hair style.
Braid is padawan.
Once you have been knighted, the hair style is your own. The only thing is some council members have no hair because: In the bubist(sp?) religon. Once you become a monk you shave the head. And if anyone watched ROTS with comentary. When Mace OB1 and Yoda are going to the crusers. Yoda rubs his head. That resembles Yoda feeling his newly shaved head. Its like when you get a haircut you always feel the hair and have to get used to it.

 

Ugh, Jedi man-braids. There is simply no excuse for a man wearing a braid in Star Wars (unless it's from someone else's hair, like Boba's victory wookie scalps). It's often painful to listen to Star Wars fans deride Lord of the Rings for all the "gay Hobbits" and then see Hayden run around wearing two braids (the one in the back, and his side 'padawan' braid) and a leather vest:

What would be wrong with just cutting off the two braids? Oh right - NOTHING.

 

Well people say that the braid makes him look like he's gay! but i think he looks hott with and without the braid.

...all the guys posting here really scare me. Saying how hot Anakin looks like with his hair cut a certain way is really creepy.

 

lol umm I'm pretty sure they are girls, but I could be wrong. And anyway if they are guys and think he looks good, more power to them. Girls can say Natalie's hott or pretty so guys should be allowed to say the same for Hayden. Doesn't make them gay, it just means they have good taste

Someone on here said Hayden had two braids??? Where?? He only had the one from my understanding. The other thing in the back of his head is a ponytail. *cringe*

 

I posted here out of pure boredom.

 

When I first saw him with the braid I thought he was really hot and I was dissapointed when I saw pictures of him for RotS, but I got over that quickly and now like him better without the braid. He looks more manly. You know, like a Jedi Master.

 

I definitely prefer no braid, longer ROTS style but Anakin is smokin' HOT either way!

 

No braid. I liked Anakin's longer hair style in ROTS.

 

The braid is the hair stlye worn by all padawan, of a species that have hair. The lenght for the braid and the number of markings on it show the padawan's distance into their training.

The Longer hair is not neccissarily required for a kinght/master, but most do it.

If you had short hair and one stupid braid for 10+ years, you'd grow it out too.

I like Obi-Wan's long braid better than Anakin's short stubby braid. So I guess Anakin looks better without his braid.

 

Most people say they like the braid because it's like a leash for him.....lol, but I'm starting to think he looks better without the braid....my little 13 year old sister says in ROTS he looks like someone gave him a swirly then blowdried his hair .....I think it looks good and my sister's still in love with the man so.

The Padawan braid is very sexy, though I prefer Anakin's ROTS look. He wears taht Jedi mullet and I've always liked men with longish hair.
