    Hey-

New to the board here, but had a question for my Anakin Skywalker Episode III Costume: Does anyone know the best way to create the facial scar over his right eye? I'm just curious as to technique, application, and materials. I was thinking of doing it with latex, or just a makeup pencil. I really have no knowledge of makeup whatsoever.

    Thanks for any help!!!

i was gonna go the liqid latex route as well since I have experience with it. But some people, on here, have recomended using Rigid Collodion. It's a liquid used in "real movies' to do scars and old age effects. it contracts when it dries, bunching the skin up. So if you paint on a small slit for the scar it will contract and give you a nice little scar-like line.

I believe it's what they used to do Theoden's old age look in Thw Two Towers is I'm not mistaken.

Cool, thanks. That sound like a perfect idea, the Rigid Collodion. Im doing a halloween, three night thing, so I could prob. use it every night when I got ready. I was thinking latex might get banged up, and I'd hate to have to re-shape a new scar. Also, with the collodion, do you need to put makeup over it, can you? \

    Thanks for your help! [face_pumpkin]

This could lead to some really good information that would be nice to have in one place - would you mind reposting your question in the Anakin ROTS Costume and Lightsaber 2.0 thread?

I'm going to lock this one so the information can all be in one handy place. Thanks! :)
