ST Anakin Skywalker in the New Films

Kill all the Sand people luke, KILL THEM ALL!

 

I'm going to say there is a 30% likelihood of Hayden in TLJ and a 80% likelihood we will see him in TLJ or IX (May just be his voice though).

 

Galaxy's Edges doesn't open till next year and the force tree ride thing is said to have yoda and anakins voice which could be pretty big evidence since its not like they mention obi wan in that mix also

Although its possible obi wan is in the mix and his name just wasn't mentioned with anakin and yoda and the voices mentioned are merely sound bytes from previous movies

 

Hopefully this is confirmed or debunked after tonight. The only spoiler I really want to know before I see the movie.

Nothing so far on this that I can find. Most people are talking about a possible Luke spoiler atm.

 

Yeah am starting to doubt he appears after all.

I think it would have been a much bigger leak if he had.

 

I would think he or Kenobi showing up, somebody would have let it out.

 

Unless it's part of a really large spoiler that hasn't leaked yet I am starting to wonder if it's slated for the next film. Especially considering that the spoilers in the VD mention that Luke deliberately cut himself off from the Force at this point.

Anakin's voice can be heard apparently, supposed to be like Obi-Wan and Yoda's in TFA and you're more likely to miss it if you don't know it's him.

 

Oh well thats abit of a let down, but hey its something i suppose.

 

Eh, I doubt he's gonna be audible. Probably lost in a mix of a scene. Knew Disney didn't have the guts.

Better than nothing but still expendable.

 

If that's true, that's disappointing. I had to rewatch TFA a couple times with headphones on to catch all the voices from Rey's forceback.

 

If its true I agree. I realize its better then nothing but we still have to see.

The one that i will be very surprised about is the lack of Yoda because if there is no yoda force ghost it seems like a missed opportunity

 

Why not blame Rian instead of using Disney a scapegoat for every decision you disagree with lol

 

Well given that Disney likely is the one who has the final say what happens, and I ain't gonna blame Rian for TFA marketing campaign, and Disney pretty much owning SW, that's why.

To be fair, my reaction was hasty. Caught in the moment of disappointment, but it's fine. I think putting expectations aside, it was more likely not to.

 

It's not like Rian has to get every single little plot point approved by Disney. Ewan McGregor was in TFA anyways.

 

True. But major ones likely are, especially involving the return of a controversial character. Given that Ewan could possibly be having his own movie, I didn't think Disney would mind as much.

I could blame a multitude of people (Disney, the fanbase, Rian) but I didn't. I just used Disney as a collective term since I'm sure they would wanna know if a character like Anakin Skywalker would return in the flesh.

 

Hayden is only two years older than Adam Driver. With Lucasfilm making a movie a year for the foreseeable future he will turn up eventually.

. First of all, it's something. Second of all, we still have episode IX for more if the story calls for it.

Hayden being involved in any capacity is a win.

 

You're right. It is a start. I just want to be able to catch it on the first viewing.

 

Or maybe, since we haven't seen the film yet, just entertain the possibility that perhaps Anakin just isn't that relevant to the story.

TBH, that's actually more than I expected.
